The tactical timeout from Donnarumma

I just hope Donna is ok, they say its always worse when you pull up and there's no one near you. Whilst I like Trafford he's not a real replacement and Fulham is only tomorrow.

M.C.F.C,..recordbreakers and rulechangers!?…and to think that there are still blues who don’t believe that there’s an agenda, ffs!?
Lets not take away from the event. Personally I am deeply unhappy that because of the shambolic nature of the defence in front of him our goalkeeper had to resort to this kind of activity. The fact that Arsenal and others have been using this tactic and that the response appears to be an over reaction should not deflect from this reality. I don't know if there is an agenda against our club but I do know that we let ourselves down badly last Saturday.

How exactly can it be looked at? There's no way to say conclusively that a player isn't hurt so it will never work
Other games don't seem to have the same issues.

From our last match.
Bernardo deliberately diving to gain an advantage in penalty area.
Retrospective yellow card. Thr fact that VAR can only make a decision on whether its a penalty or not isn't helping. They should be able to advise a yellow card is appropriate in this case.

Opposition player down with head injury.
Any head injury player must be taken off pitch and assessed independent of either team.
Something along the lines of rugby.

Donnarumma injured.
If this was , as suggested, a ploy to allow Pep to give instructions to team just ensure that a group of players cannot huddle. I wouldn't see much of an issue of it was just the captain approaching.

When the world (media and referees) is against you and your opponents often think nothing of cheating, I can forgive this little slip.

There's a ready made solution to this that wouldn't require any law changes, and I've advocated it before in these pages.

Players can't leave the pitch when another is being treated for an injury. Players aren't restricted from where they are allowed to go on the pitch.

So whenever a team has one of these tactical timeouts, just place some players next to the opposition manager to listen to the new instructions. There is nothing anyone can do to stop this happening.

If only they had seen Bernie block the keeper for our second goal they would have been wanting a rule change for that.
In fact I was surprised they didn't give a foul watching it back, obviously looking for the offside distracted them.
Tactical time out blocking the keeper and diving at the slightest touch aren't the way city played but as every other team use it against us then we might as well join them.
I hate all three of these things and would like the game I loved back.
They mentioned it in one commentary, might have been Sky's highlights one?

If the ref stops the game for any reason then stop the clock. Why is the clock still running if the ref stops play for an injury, a VAR check or for substitutions. The only time waster in those situations is the ref.
The ref already has the tools at disposal when keepers time waste but chooses not to enforce them. Ref should be given a similar directive for throws in. Where they can reverse the throw in decision. All this time wasting malarkey is quite easily rectified.

Just seen a article in the mail..clubs are on talks about changing the rules regarding players going down to timewaste.
I knew it,the second we start doing this stuff they want to change the rules.
Haha you couldn't make this shit up.
FIFA will be trying out new rules during the Arab Cup in qatar, which starts today, so it's hardly breaking news...

Basically, any player who receives treatment on the pitch will have to then leave the field of play for 2minutes, in an attempt to stop the bullshitters because their team will temporarily be down to 10.

Exceptions =
1) if it's a serious injury a sub can be immediately brought on.
2) if the injury was caused by an opponent who receives a card.
3) if it's the keeper.

3) of course, still leaves it open to manipulation.

Should have been stamped out when it became obvious Arsenal were using it as a tactic over the last couple of seasons.
It’s fucking small time, and that goes for whichever team is doing it.
I’d rather we get the half time talk right as opposed to slipping Prozac into tge players brews which we seem to be doing judging on the second half performances we’ve seen in recent times.

So you don’t know if there is an agenda? How would you interpret the fact that arsenal have been employing this tactic for approx 3 years without a single mumour of disapproval!?City try it for the first time and there’s f’kin national outrage and talk of rule changes!? You couldn’t write this shit…

Shower your head Peter. I dont really care about Arsenal they have been cunts since before I was a child. I care about our club, who we are, and what we stand for.

We have been correctly called out, for employing in a blatent and obvious manner, a scam aimed at gaining an advantage. That is my concern not any perceived double standards on behalf of so called journalists.

Bye the way rule changes are probably needed and I believe would be generally welcomed.
