The team better than we think?

I know this is kind of a weird question, but sometimes I look at our squad and think it really is good. I feel that sometimes what I expect is below the squad's capability. Anyone else feel that we really haven't seen the best of this team (and of course there will be some quality additions this summer, with Navas and Fernandinho already here).

I think its very obvious that last season we played well below our capabilities and potential.

So,no,i'm fully aware how good our team can be,hence why Pellegrini has been appointed.

I can't fucking wait for next season. Loved Mancini for everything we did with him and would have been interesting to see what happened had he stayed, but at the same time very very excited for next season, our Man Pelli should be able to make the players even better. Plus the new lads. Roll on August.

I think the team is worse than we think. we need something to bring the hunger back, some fresh air and i dont think Pellegrini is enough, we need more changes in the squad more players that can lift everone a level or two

I try, but i have got the same feeling i had last year and i were right then. I fear next season in a way i never feared a new season before.

Not been used right at times, once we do this team is the best in the prem and we will show it.

The team is only as good as it delivers. I think the best squad that will start the season, barring a couple of late marquee signing for us(!) will be CFC but are they gonna deliver. It's a team game and the team element doesn't necessarily make itself felt until yer count up the points and see how many clean sheets have come with the wins.

the team as in the first 11 is good enough but the squad players aren't, you only have to look at the performance's of the likes of Kolorov, Maicon, Dzeko, Nasri, Sinclair (he's not up to the standard regardless of the amount of playing time) to see that, when we get injuries to the likes of Komps, Silva, Clichy, Richards and Aguero like we did that season then the players that come in aren't good enough

Agreed we need a couple of top world class additions to challenge for the title.

I fear without this with Arse al strengthening we could end up in a battle for 4th with Spurs or Liverpool

Not at all, do you think Fergie was ever satisfied?

"1983: Aberdeen retain Scottish Cup, this time beating Rangers 1-0, and defeat Real Madrid 2-1 in Gothenburg to lift European Cup Winners’ Cup.

After the Cup Final he went mental at the Aberdeen players for only winning cup by one goal.

It's clear Arsenal, rags and Chelsea are going to strengthen.

We have lost star player in Balotelli and with Tevez going we need to add more goals to the team. I think the 2 signings so far are good but won't add a huge amount of goals from midfield.

I want the title back from those gloating plastic faeces and the best way to do it is to get the best players available that are out there.

With Pellegrini at the helm I think mainly players like Dzeko and Nasri will play a lot better, a lot more, and with a smile one their faces.

What? I need a lie-down!

If we could play with a high tempo for 90 mins, we'd
be bloody frightening. I thought we looked an unfit
side last season compared to the previous one. If we
can get the team fitter i think we'll be unstoppable,
domestically anyway.

If everything we hear about Pellegrini is true then our current squad should easily be good enough to win back the title. Providing we replace the leaving players with adequate replacements.

Pellegrini is famed for getting every inch out of his players, players the fans everyone seems to love him wherever he's been.

If he can get every inch out of our current squad, then we should expect great seasons from Ya Ya, Tevez, Nasri and Aguero.

Our squad is good, the additions so far have been exactly what we are looking for. Providing we replace any leaving players with better replacements.
Maybe we'd struggle to replace Tevez as I don't see many players globally as effective as Tevez, hopefully Pellegrini will get him to stay and get another great season from him.

I expect better things from Garcia & Dzeko under Pellegrini and I would hope he will use Milners energy to it's full potential.

I'm excited about the new signings, both direct and full of pace with technical ability.

If Pellegrini gets just 10% more out of our squad we will be a very difficult side to beat.

i for one just car't wait for the start off the season!!!
this will be the year we smash it big time!!!!!!
what let us down last time was the lack off goals form others in the team!!!!!
the the 2 new lads will help fix that!!!!!
plus dave and sammi will step up
