The Telegraph set to release evidence of corruption in the Premier League withing the coming days

I don't know what was in that dossier but I do know it was passed to Paul Kelso.
I think it was passed up due to a few goings on at the time. Press wise. I also think that that dossier provided the background info for this later investigation.

I expect a few other names to appear this week, but some will get injunctions in the "public interest".

The newspapers phone tap, set people up and do kiss and tells for money, and some people take pleasure in seeing richer people fall from grace due to jealousy, schadenfreude and for titillation. Lowest common denominator stuff all round.
But in this case it looks as though The Telegraph has exposed a major story that see`s our game being placed in a bad light. Why shouldn`t they expose the corrupt bastards ? This story is not titillation its fraud/tax evasion on a high scale.

10 month investigation into BFS? Not so sure about that. However, I'm all for them evidencing their findings into corruption in any and all sports, but I was only commenting on BFS. Being found out to be a stupid, greedy, ex footballer is not really the stuff of Woodward and Bernstein. Discovering that huge swathes of the PL is dirty, if indeed that's what they've done, is a different matter altogether.

And BFS being the brand new England manager only a few weeks into the job was obviously high profile and an obvious place for them to start their revelations, but its not entrapment, they havent induced anyone to commit crimes, its their own stupid fault if they want to brag to strangers about what they can do and what they have done. If the Telegraph had paid money to get involved in a bung in some way then that would be entrapment, its more filming without the other parties consent and an invasion of privacy.

Offered someone £400k to chat shit, who wouldn't?

I'm sure the authorities (not footballing ones) will be taking a close interest, so any injunctions that high profile people manage to get to help stop their names coming out, won't be protected from arrest.

However other than be a bit of dick, I'm not sure Allardyce has been proved to have done anything illegal so far.

Puts the PL in a difficult position after raking in cash from the biggest tv football deal in history.

They should come clean if any allegation a are proven and for good measure relegate the rags and dippers for suits and giggles.
