The Telegraph set to release evidence of corruption in the Premier League withing the coming days

We have to stay clear of speculating for obvious legal reasons mate.

It protects the individual, the site and Ric as owner.

Thanks.

I dont get this at all.

As long as people say "I think" it protects the forum as it's a personal opinion, which is something folk are legally entitled to have.

Saying "I think "Ric" took bungs and is on steroids" versus "Ric took bungs and is on steroids" are two entirely different things. One is speculation and personal interpretation of events, the other is slander as it is presented as fact.

Also, for the record, I'm sure Ric hasn't taken bungs and is not on steroids.

Whether we get it or not, agree with it or not, this isnt our site, its Rics and he makes the rules which we all have to abide by to remain members.

He doesn't want speculation on this because its now a legal matter, subject to injunctions and believe me, sites like this, high profile football sites are monitored.

He has been threatened with legal action before because of posts and its something nobody wants to ever happen.

Plenty of unregulated sites around to spew as many names as folk want but this isnt and wont be one of them.

I get the worry on Ric's part alright. I just don't get how he can be held accountable for personal opinions. Orwellian society at it's finest.

Does anyone think running to lawyers the second this story broke might be considered by some as approaching an admission of guilt,or that
they do have something that might not survive close scrutiny.
For the record just asking not accusing anyone who has sought legal advice
