The Telegraph set to release evidence of corruption in the Premier League withing the coming days

Surprised that is all they got on him unless it is building up to something.

Assume at least 3-4 hours of trying to get him to say something, with poss a hour or so off building up trust.

It does mention that if he would put a bit of his money in and if he was in a position then he could buy players. That sounded the worst part to me.

He did sound that he generally did not know they had a bet and as it was on them not against I can see why he would turn a blind eye. It would certainly have been a big call to report his own players to the FA and would have destroyed any team spirit. Be good to know the players especially the supposed opposition.

Very interesting to hear the agent after a delayed response try to deny and protect other parties. Can only imagine the legal pressure from other parties.

I really hope the Telegraph play a blinder and get to name everyone they wish to. The one due the day after that got the court injunction I think was a big name (not sure I believe the list).

They probably think it's victimless crimes topping up pay by signing w@nk players or past their due date, it's like buying a pint for a good turn or using your mates company to do the contract etc

That's why companies have code of conduct to ensure this doesn't happen but it does in every line of work.

I went in a business on its arse after a period of investment had left it on the brink.

The IT project was over budget by $10m.

The engineering department never fixed anything in 5 years yet came in on budget leaving it in a dreadful state.

They bought manufacturing equipment for $7m which wasn't ever used & was last seen in the yard rusting.

Eventually the MD went along with all his mates who were in these positions & they all set up their lives elsewhere & seem to do pretty well with their failure. In order to save the business 100 people lost their jobs. I say this because as the corruption is played down with just a little earner, no real harm then consider how many clubs have either gone out of the league / bankrupt.

How close were city to going under & how much shite have we bought on big contracts. The problem is it's endemic & every journalist, footballer will know of some seedy tale.

I watched the Keys &Grey show last night and they had Simon Jordan the ex owner of Palce on, the interview was very open and Jordan didn't hold anything back in his views of what needs to be done. It was noticeable though that when he said " come on you know what goes on in football" to the hosts they nearly fell over, Gray was visibly squirming and Keys after a pause said well we do hear stories but no evidence is ever showed.

Grey never spoke, Jordan spoke very well by the way.

Anyone subscribe to the PopBitch newsletter? Here's what they have to say on the Telegraph sting this week -

All eyes have been on Big Sam
Allardyce, but he's hardly the
only offender in the field of
English football managers.
For example:

Which manager had a habit of
shagging his players' wives,
but as soon as he got bored
with them (or his missus got
close to finding out) he'd
transfer their husband out
of his club?

Which manager charged his own
club four grand to open its
new youth training centre?

Which manager insisted on a
huge pay-off when he lost a
Premier League job, until the
HR director showed him a set
of photos they'd got a private
investigator to take of him
hoovering up gak?
Haha, I know the answer to number 4!

I see the FA are talking about banning BFS from football altogether, can't see that happening . Think they would rather he was in the tent pissing out rather than the other way around . Pretty soon he will be a manager again and they can control him to an extent, if he is banned then no reason why he wouldn't go rogue and start naming names the FA can't have that happening.

Jordan was one of the people on the wrong end of these scams - people like him (the owners) and us (the supporters) are the ones funding this corruption.
