The thankyou Richard Dunne thread

I don't know if anyone else has suggested this. I would like to encourage some sort of club recognition of what Richard Dunne has done for the club over the years he has been here.

I do not know the rules for a testimonial but feel that that would not be amiss to have one.

I appreciate that he has had some detractors, particularly last season. My own view is that he was probably left covering too much.

Anyway, Richard I wish you the very very best with your move. Thank you very much for keeping our club in the prem, for your undying and fearless service to it and the team. You will never be forgotten, a true legend and fully deserving of your player of the season awards.

So can someone start a thread for a testimonial and if you know how, raise it with the club.

Cheers, Dunney, you were one of the main reasons why we were still a Premiership club when ADUG took over and drove us forward. Massive shame you couldn't be part of this wonderful journey we're about to embark on. Good luck!

End of an era!!! I thinks its fitting that one of his last duties was to lift a trophy for city at the Nou Camp. 4 player of the year awards in a row will take some beating!! Good luck Dunnie, HES HERE, HES THERE, HES EVERY FUCKIN WHERE.....
city legend!!!

BTW, you are all bastards for thanking Richard Dunne. We owe everything to the twatzoid in the barcode shirt.

Thankyou Joey.

Thank you Dunne.

A man who, once 'rescued' by Keegan, gave his all for the club whether we were 6-0 up or 6-0 down. Dunne epitimised City for me, giving his all, sometimes brilliant, often good but never a stranger to the ridiculous.

It's almost fate that, as the "typical City" tag is put to rest, so too is the career of our captain, of whom it the saying fit so well.

He'll always get a standing ovation from me.

best player by a mile for 4 years, singlehandedly saved us on so many occasions away from home. heart of a lion.
he will be sadly missed but im afraid progress maeas his time is up.

According to O'Neill.

Maybe Barcelona are going to snatch him from Villa's grasp?

Either way, good luck to the big man [this is at least my third post on this subject]. As someone else eloquently said, he held our hand whilst we rode the rollercoaster.

Dunnie - a true City legend.
Thanks for all the memories. You'll always get a great reception when you come back.
