The thankyou Richard Dunne thread

Truly gutted about this, always thought Dunney would be the one to lift our first trophy. (Proper trophy not that sad effort in Barca.)

Thanks for the service, for me id have sold Richards rather than you pal, or Bridge or De Jong for that matter. Just glad theyve let you go to a decent club and not shipped you off to Hull or some shite. Good luck.

Good luck to Dunnie. To call him a great servant sounds cliched but it's true. It's just so rare to see a footballer stay at a club for the length of time he has these days, and what's better is the sheer consistency of his output, coupled with durability over the last nine years.

Just think of the changes Dunnie's witnessed! Maine Road to CoMs, Alfie Haaland to Robinho, and no less than five managers!
 
Player, Captain, Legend! Cheers Dunney you saved us from relegation on more than one occasion, we would not be where we are if not for you. Good luck to you and your family mate.
 
It`s a shame our wealth didn`t come 5 years ago because the team would have been built around Dunney.
I hope he goes on and picks up a trophy at Villa,because if anyone deserves it he does.
 
Thanks Dunney for the very good, good and bad times (there weren't too many) hope he enjoys a fruitful career with Villa. Still think he's better than Toure though
