I was going to tear into this but then realised you must be a wum as a real football fan who actualy knows anything about the game and watches it wouldnt write such rubbish

Please do 'tear into it'. I'd like to hear your opinion, if you can find it within yourself to offer an unbiased one.

I am not WUMing at all, although I have slightly exaggerated one or two points. However, my opinions on Arsenal and City are unbiased. City are much stronger.

Without Fabregas/RVP/Nasri, Arsenal would be fighting Villa and Everton for a Europa league place.
Where would you be without Tevez then?

Why shoul dI bother? i name a player and you just dismiss as them as crap despite them being one of the leagus better players.

The problem is that you're vastly overrating your players. Who performed well for you yesterday? I'd say Fabregas and Nasri.

Arshavin was anonymous, Chamakh didn't do much of note, Song and Denilson didn't guard the weak defence well at all, none of the defence were good enough. Fabianski was immense and saved the majority of your team from embarassment.

I'm amazed how many are dismissing Arsenal as a poor team.On their day they are the best footballing team in the country. They might not have the big names of a few years back but they can still pass you to death. If we finish within 5 points either way of them this season we'll have done well.

Also ctid_chris,3 goals and a missed penalty is hardly struggling.

I think you are referring to me Fabianski, the main point I was trying to make is that you don't have a bad squad, just one that is nowhere near capable of winning major honours on a regular basis and surely the fact you haven't done in the last 5 years emphasises that your policy of what seems to be signing good young players is not working. If you think it is then please enlighten me because I'm sick of hearing this will be Arsenal's year - season after season. You always have promising talent but the press, pundits and mainly arsenal fans would have you believe that every year without fail "they will mature in to a great league winning side" now this is still yet to happen, personally with the players you have at the moment I cant see it ever happening. Your players are maturing but not in to world stars just decent players and nothing more than that.

I am rating my players based on what I have seen them do over seasons. You are basing them on this one game alone. it was not our best performance but a long chalk but we had the players to grind out a win and on other days they perform a lot better so players you dismiss as crap are actualy pretty good. You cant judge it on that one game.

we are desperatley missing toure at the moment, i aint his biggest fan but we are defo missing him at the back

I think it depends what Arsenal fan you talk to. Me personaly, I dont say this is our year or anything like that. I see clubs like Chelsea and United (in the past) having far more resources than us and our job, what with the debt and everything is just to keep up for the time being so we can be in a good position for when the debts gone and any challenges to a trophy in the mean time is a bonus and i would say we have been doing that very well.

Tevez has had bad games this season, and if for example he hadn't played the Sunderland game, I'm confident that Adebayor would have scored the sitter that Tevez missed in the first half. We would have gone on to win, and would be doing even better in the PL table.

Adebayor scored a hattrick without Tevez on Thursday. We will probably see what happens without Tevez again against Wolves this weekend. I'm quite sure we have several other top class players that can get the win there.

-- Mon Oct 25, 2010 3:53 pm --

When I've watched arsenal this season, I've generally come to the same conclusions as at the game yesterday.

Sorry that I can't be pro-arsenal for you.

Lost a hell of a lot of respect for Fabregas yesterday. Nasri, yes he may of scored 7 in 7 or something similar but what really annoyed about him and in that respect the rest of the team was the way they would pull of challenges it was pathetic. The tackles which they pulled out of weren't particularly malicious.

But you would of watched us on match of the day or maybe at most sky sports. Players who you call crap like Song and Clichy are actualy very very good but are I admit out of form at the moment so that would of been highlighted in what you saw. If the team is so average and crap how have they managed to battle it out to second in table and you cant say we havnt played any big teams yet.
