The tide is turning....

Then RSC has to be a better option with how well he played under Hughes at Blackburn. I dunno i think i've just got some deep seeded hatred towards Bellamy that i can't wash away.

I never wanted RSC but I will happily take him if it means Bellamy stays where he is. The Hughes situation is dividing City fans it will be twice as bad if Bellamy comes.

Bellamy would be a good short term fix....he still has good pace and can find the net...the other thing is that he is always up for a battle....something City appear to have lost of late.

Bang on the money Dave.

Lock his 7 iron away and he will do for half a season. Needs must at the moment.

What we need is a player who has 1 in 2 scoring rate, that isn't Bellamy.

The trouble is the only player who has a 1 in 2 scoring rate, who is available and most importantly wants to leave his club to come to the North West, happens to be ultra injury prone... Michael Owen.

Personally I think he is worth taking a chance on if it means Bellamy not coming.

Hughes knows his arse is on the line. Does anybody really think that he would bring Bellamy here if he was going to be a bad influence on the team/dressing room? Of course he wouldn't. Hughes's own buys so far have been mostly good, and by buying Bellamy he is taking very little risk. It's a player he knows very well, with plenty of Premiership experience. Bellamy is also captian of Wales now, which means that he is likely to have some leadership qualities, and we could certainly do with some of that now. At Blackburn Bellamy probably played the best football of his career, and was good enough to earn a move to a top 4 side. As much as his character seems questionable I don't think that there's much doubt he could do a job for us now. Would you rather we chanced the same money on an unproven foreigner with no Prem experience?
