We will drop more points. If Liverpool win every remaining game, including turning up at our place and beating us, then they're as deserving champions as we were in 18/19. I think they're much more likely to match our points total of the remainder of the season, mind, and finish the season quite comfortably behind us.

Although City dropped points at the weekend and Liverpool won, I thought City played well, whilst Liverpool's central defence was creaking. Liverpool play a very high defensive line that places a lot of demands on their central defenders. They have to be quick and decisive because if you can play through the press or you can play a good long ball you can get one on one with Van Dijk or Matip. Formerly, Van Dijk would win any one on one challenge but I thought against Palace that he looked a bit ponderous and it was Matip who was doing more of the one on one defending.

Arsenal away and Brighton away are more difficult for me than our fixtures. That they managed to win vs Arsenal recently without Salah and Mane does not guarantee they'll win with them. Remember their loss from Leicester?

Also, their schedule is more congested which makes any game more difficult. Thing is they have cup games surrounding their league fixtures and they can't concentrate on the league and the CL like in previous seasons. Tiredness will creep in.
I sincerely hope you're right. I see things the other way, the momentum is with them, they're full of confidence, their two main men are coming back and they've survived without them, maybe even improved. Although their fixture list is rammed out its exactly what gave us a buzz last year and carried us through, this year we're a bit broken up with scheduling, long breaks and gaps that disrupt our momentum. Size of squads matter and how many are actually used and for lfc its the same eleven basically so maybe that will change things in our favour. but I definitely think the momentum is with them, every win makes them more confident in themselves. So we just have to churn out the results for the next few months.

Once you add var for rivals & var against us between now & end of season the gap is not going to be what it is now. We can not afford any more slip ups or keep missing goals.

If there is a VAR conspiracy then they have this weekend taken it too far it is now clearly in the spotlight from every angle pundits, the media and fans are all saying the same

There is lot to play for and Klopp/Tuchel did already played their mind game of catching City is nearly impossible etc.
If our players believe that then we will drop many more points.

Quite a few tricky games for us still, Pool, United, Spurs home games and some away places like Wolves, Palace, WHU who can raise their game and take points off of us.

We did incredible well overall especially without a killer instinct top striker so far, but we need to finish the job.

I can imagine Liverpool going to win 12 more with something like 3 draws, 1 loss especially with bit of VAR help here and there.
That would put them to around 86-87 points.

If they go far in CL/FA-cup maybe a bit less like 83-84.

What is it exactly about Liverpool getting 2.1 points per game so far this season that makes you think they'll get 2.43 ppg for the rest of the season?

They haven't had a run that good since 2019, and nothing about their form for the past 2 years suggests they could possibly manage that again - not least how poor they were yesterday.

I see the bed-wetters are out in force.

Liverpool has done really well, really turned their form around by beating *checks notes*, Brentford and Crystal Palace. Let's get the trophy couriered to Merseyside now and save the hassle of playing out the remainder of the season.
