He has to match Chelsea's back 5 for a start. I think they would have beat Liverpool too yesterday if that pen and red doesnt happen. sitting back a bit, and counter Liverpool from 1-0 up I think would have worked as Liverpool would have got more desperate for the goal leaving more and more space behind...

really dont want us to lose 4 times to Tuchel in the space of like 5-6 months they would gain so much confidence of that.

We need to be smart and accept that a point is a good result away from home in those games. Let them try and win the game. Their fans wont accept them sitting back and showing no intent. See what they can do with the ball and then counter them back.

The biggest thing we have to deal with is the shithousery of Salah, Mane, Robertson and then Jorginho and Azpilicueta. Absolute cunts.

Liverpool hate us but Anfield curse is broken. Chelsea we owe a spanking.

will be interesting to see the Chelsea away and Pool away games last year without a top striker we won fairly comfortably at both away grounds but I think it had as much to do with Lampard's tactics and being out of his league really as a manager, and Klopp's injury disaster at CB position and the empty grounds as much as it had to do with our great from between January and April.
we seen the atmosphere in Pool-chelsea yesterday, thats gonna be a different match than when its fully empty due to covid.

we got 6 points from Stamford Bridge, Anfield, call me pessimistic but I can see those games as we only have 2-3 clearer chances unlike 7-8 vs Norwich or Arsenal where we were able to afford missing some sitters, but we wont be able to to miss them from much less clear opportunity.
Chelsea played 50 min with 10 man and still managed to close Liverpool out, and get a draw, I think that was proper top class reaction tactically from Tuchel and they still got few counters going with Lukaku setting up some chances due to his skill of quickly laying down balls to runners next too him. Clearly Tuchel knows how to use Lukaku while at United they wanted him to hold up the ball on the box, turn and score, at Chelsea he is used like at Inter where he really flourished.

i would be over the moon if we walk away with 3 points again from Stamford Bridge and Anfield and that would really send a message to everyone in PL but given the changes, the added motivation from rivals to beat us, fans being back and now even have PSG away fixture pushed between these two huge away league games, wow its hell of a month coming up, best thing to hope for we have a full squad instead of 2-3 of them coming back with various injuries from shit ass international games.
Forget last seasons results in these fixtures. Big games Chelsea seem to have our number at the moment and we tend to shit the bed in Klanfield. 3 points from those games would be great.

I genuinely believe we will get through these games unbeaten. There seems to be a renewed hunger in the team. Torres barely started a game last season, Grealish was with a different club, Jesus is relishing his "new" role. Laporte is playing for the position, Rodders is starting ahead of Fern. Starters from last season on the bench.

Very confident.

Draws at Liverpool & Chelsea would be okay, provided we win the others, and have 14 points from 7 games.

It would mean we'd only won 1 of our first 4 away games, but given that they were at Spurs, Leicester, Liverpool & Chelsea, that wouldn't be surprising / too disheartening.

18 and I don't see any reason why not. better team than all of those

Last 4 matches against top 6 rivals:

Leicester 9/12 points (4 prior to this 9/12)
Liverpool 7/12 points (4 prior to this 7/12)
Chelsea 6/12 points (4 prior to this 9/12)
Spurs 3/12 points (4 prior to this 10/12)
United 1/12 points (!) (4 prior to this 9/12)

We've started to do more poorly against our rivals this last few seasons, in a season like this where our rivals have arguably closed the gap to us, these head to head matches could be more important.

We've already lost to Spurs and Leicester this season. We really need to start putting in some performances against these sides if we want to retain our title. This is certainly a tough set of fixtures to start the season, if we can keep within touching distance of the top then we're in with a great shot - I think we'd find it hard to catch up like we did last season if we fall far behind again.

For all the whinging this past few days about not signing a striker, how bad Txiki is, how bad our board are, how bad we are in the Transfer market, how bad we are at negotiating, how everyone else has signed well… we are still, BY FAR, the best team in this league. And while it might be a different kind of title race to last season, I fully expect us to win this league.

Next 4 games will be tough, but let’s come out of them unbeaten. No reason why we can’t pick up 10 points from the 12 on offer from the four games left mentioned in the OP.
