They’re (F83 A22) better off than us (F75 A20) by six.

I know a few blues who think GD is done and we have to win on points. But we can easily bring that back into our favour.

Was it December where we went 7-0 v Leeds, 4-0 v Newcastle and then 6-3 v Leicester in successive games. Not saying we will have a run like that particularly with big games and nerves coming into it, but a few wins by 3 and we will turn that around.

Main focus is on winning the games though. Liverpool never really take their foot off the gas in games but we do start playing keep ball if a game is won with 20-30mins left.

A 7-0 win against Watford isn't too much to ask for though is it?!

It is too much and pointless, given we play 3 (!) days later one of the most important games of the season. Liverpool struggled against Watford recently and won only 2:0, the 2nd goal late in the game. Watford are a PL team and not as poor as some on here seem to think. Disrespecting teams is the last thing we need now.

The balance now is total - City want to compete for the title, obviously as all clubs do and we the fans crave it, but the desire for the 1st European Cup is huge at the club. Both matches, home to Watford and home to Real Madrid, represent very good opportunities to take positive steps towards both goals happening. I wouldn't have a clue if there are conversations at the top level in which one cup has been prioritised, but there are tough choices to be made with the team selection.

on the points, we just need to go out and try to win every game, put liverpool out of mind.

I’m not (for the time being) going to lose any sleep over goal difference just because I think the chances of it coming into play are currently pretty low.
It’s going to need us to lose a game and the dippers to draw one for it to become a live issue. I think that any points we may drop are much more likely to come from a drawn game or games than from a defeat.
But I wouldn’t say no to a couple of thumping big wins!

Winning the title with both teams gaining maximum points in the remaining games is my preferred option.

It's not disrespectful to say they're shite. They have lost 22 of their 32 games so far. They've won 6 all season.

Pep will take them seriously, it is a must win. But with only 3 subs allowed and a big game coming up it is an opportunity for players to say "pick me". No reason we can't make changes and still get a big win. The 3pts and staying injury free is of course the main thing. But it would be a big boost for the squad to get a big win, we can take that confidence into the Real game.
