i personally think whoever wins the "mini league" from city, chelsea, liverpool and united will win the league, i think all 4 teams have too much for pretty much the rest of the league, of course there will be shocks, but cant see anyone else in the top four.

I think the top 3 will be close and above 85. 538, interestingly, has City as the champion at 81 points and sees the top 4 spread apart. A few goals here and there, especially penalties, might determine the league. Getting Kane in will be vital.

We haven't done well in head to heads in recent years, it's been our consistency that's won us leagues. I think those head to heads will be more important this season so a vast improvement is needed there.

We play them all away first so if we come out of those first set of fixtures anywhere near middle of the pack in the head to head table it will set us up nicely for a strong finish.

Going to be a stressful season if that’s how it pans out! Third place getting to 80 points is pretty rare in the PL and I think 85 would be a new record. Could be like 2019 all over again but a three horse race instead of just two with a huge gap to fourth.

"Stressful" will be the operative word. At least, the players have shown that they can handle the pressure. This thought makes me slightly less anxious.

Stress levels have gone up after today. Long way to go of course but I think only the rags have won in the PL era after losing the first game.

They are the only team to have done that but they've done it on three separate occasions so it's not something that's unique to one season. I still reckon the main contenders will all take points off each other. Definitely don't want to lose too much ground early on but last season proved that a dodgy start isn't necessarily terminal.

We have a run of home fixtures coming up to clear the head hopefully. Should we fall more than 5 points behind however, the away games at Chelsea and Liverpool could prove terminal if we play like we did yesterday and don't have Kane in. I never felt last seasons poor start was going to stop us winning the league and that proved to be the case but this season has a different feel about it. But we will see.
