This is far from done. Let's assume Liverpool win their game in hand, it's against Leeds afterall. takes it back to 8 points, if we were to lose against Chelsea next and Liverpool win which isn't entirely inconceivable and its down to 5.
The Chelsea match is huge, beat them to guarantee we at least maintain the gap whilst also having one fewer chance to drop points against the better sides and it looks significantly better. We then get a relatively light January whilst Liverpool have cup games for the first time in a while and no mane or Salah. It may not hurt them in the league but a few loses will be a Psychological blow and show them how heavily they rely on Salah.
