I'm seeing too many write Arsenal off already. Leicester's title should be a warning, but also our win in 2012. We had finished 3rd the year before, 8 points behind on 71 points. In order to win we had to improve by 18pts and match United with all their title winning experience. At the time the perceived wisdom was that we weren't quite ready, that this would be good experience for a proper challenge the following year.

And the big difference is the World Cup - we really don't know how teams will react to that break and having to start again. It will feel like a new start to season and we have sometimes made slow starts to a season - in contrast to most seasons where free of Champions League over the winter we have put together a run that has proved decisive in the league.

Our games against Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham will be crucial. At the moment we have only played Newcastle from the Top 5 and we nearly came unstuck. Long long way to go in this season.

Think people are getting a bit too carried away, due to the postponements against spurs and arsenal we have had the easiest set of fixtures. Still a lot of work to be done and nobody knows how key players will be after the World Cup

They were there for the taking when we played them, tonight’s result has pissed me off a bit but we know it’s their cup final, although Carragher nearly in tears makes up
Would they worry you if we drew them in the Champions League?

Yep the 4 games this season vs those two lovely London clubs will be the key won’t they? 12 crucial points up for grabs.
