I remember beating Blackburn one year to go top after 3 games with 7 points while everyone else had only played two games.

That night when I got in I kept the Ceefax page with the table on paused for ages and just stared at it.

113 is actually the only points total between 0 and 114 that's mathematically impossible for a team to finish the season with, unless there's a one point deduction for breaking some or other rule.

My son asked me what result we wanted in Chelsea-Spurs yesterday and I said a draw, so both drop points. Have to go with the same for United vs. Liverpool next week, though United with zero points from 3 matches would certainly have its own satisfaction.

Very early days yet, City will have to keep doing what they are doing until mid November when the league stops. Three teams have got better in Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal, Liverpool whilst always looking capable of scoring don’t look defensively sound.
