Nope. Win our game in hand then were 1 point behind meaning a draw would suit arsenal

I said that if we win our game in hand and beat Arsenal then we can afford a draw (in the remaining games). We would be 2 points ahead and a draw would mean we could still be ahead on goal difference.

Weirdly it doesn’t change a great deal. Still in both teams hands and a draw is still enough for them at The Etihad. But it uses up one of their ‘lives’. Before today’s game they could have drawn with us and drawn at Newcastle, winning the rest and that would have been enough for them. But now they have used up one of those lifelines in a game they didn’t expect it to be used up.

Pretty much.

It could become a lifeline for us if we beat Arsenal though.
