Your talking about probably the best in that position in world football no way either above mentioned can fill that gap. Kovatic is a good journeyman who you can rely upon to do specific tasks. Nunes is an oddity and we just have to hope there is method in the madness that brought him to Manchester
He wasn’t the best when we brought him, full of mistakes, we made him one of best. Maybe the madness of Nunes can be moulded into a diamond?

It is so odd. We have picked up only 7 points from the last 6 games. If that was the opening 6 games, I would probably be thinking not our year. But it still doesn't feel out of reach. We just need to start seeing leads through.

Not even close this year, every time another team wins it we gift it to them. Congratulations to the dippers or the cockney cunts

Arsenal have a few easy games, but like last year their fixture list will start to bite hard.
Liverpool have a string of hard fixtures coming up.

Still wide open.... Plenty of changes ahead so dont lose your minds on the first hurdles.

well, this is another fixture we won last year. overall now that means we are 12 points worse off fixture to fixture to last season when we finished on 89 points.

to finish on 89 this season now we would need to get 55 points from remaining 63. not too worried on 89 points as title can be won with less this season as lot more teams are getting decent results vs top teams.

but the 12 points worse off fixture to fixture is a worry. this is now a theme that we cannot beat teams we did last season not a one off.

even if we stop this now and only get same results like last year and not worse like so far, we finish 12 worse off thats only 77 points, not title worthy.

Everton away next game, will be considerably harder that this shit Palace was today. and we won there last season, could be a fucking draw or loss now.

And sadly we still have liverpool spurs Newcastle away.

We have conceded costly late goals against Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and Palace already this season. That’s 9 points squandered.

We may not be playing particularly well but it would suggest more of a concentration issue above all else.

It looks like it's over, the body language of the players says it more than the points on the table.

We lost this number of points (17) last season only in the 21st round, on February 5, after the away match against Tottenham.

this season, the trouble came much, much earlier

Still not worry at all. The main concern is how scared our defense looks. They lose all the important duels, they are not agressive, and they just make poor decisions.

THe opposition (with the exception of Aston Villa and Chelsea FH) has like 3-4 interesting chances (way less than the chances we produce), but they score way more often. In that sense, I am pretty relaxed. Eventually it will be back to normal just like every stat tends to do.

Top 4 and a big push for the Champs League with Haaland and KDB back. Don't think we have the right attitude and concentration for the prem this season but will be decent in 2 leg games.

But Arsenal was in way better form. So it doesn't matter. 6 points is still pretty manegable.

Body language last year was the same or worse after Brentford.

Hard to tell really. We need to change things. Walker is largely useless against average/poor teams. Can Akanji do better there? Lewis isn't at the required level to start games in the PL when we are supposed to chase down Liverpool and Arsenal. Bright talent, but we need more in that position right now. Alvarez has lost form.

Nothing is lost. But if we don't win at Everton, the task may become a bit too difficult even for City with KDB in there, plus he will need time to get to his best. The drop in form is not unexpected, time will tell whether we have it in us to win 4 in a row.

The big difference between us, Liverpool and Arsenal this season is that they are regularly scoring late goals to win games and we keep throwing leads away late on. The main contributing factors to this are wasting too many chances to kill opponents off and rarely having any game changing options on the bench to call upon.

I'm not writing us off with so many points still to play for but those are the sorts of teams you have to beat at home if you want to win the league especially when you're competing with two very good sides. We have of course had poor results in all of our title winning seasons under Pep but I honestly can't remember us letting a two goal lead slip at home against a team of that level when we were so dominant within the game.

We are badly missing De Bruyne's creativity and dominance in midfield but thankfully it sounds like he will be back soon. We just have to hope we're not too far behind by the time he gets up to speed.
