Liverpool aren't the team they were between 2018-20 and I don't think they're as good as us or even Arsenal but they don't necessarily have to be in order to win the league. They only have to be better than the rest to have a chance. One thing they do have is 5 forwards who consistently get goals and that will see them win the majority of their games almost by default which could be enough if we slip up against some of the lesser teams.
Our match against them this time next month will be be one of the most highly anticipated games in a long time. I'd probably take a point now if offered but we may need to go there and win. I know we won there in 2021 but this is our last chance to win at Anfield under Klopp with fans in the stadium and I reckon it's something our players and especially Pep are desperate to tick off. It would feel a bit like closing a chapter on the rivalry.
I’m weirdly looking forward to the Anfield trip, I think the belief within the team with what’s been achieved winning 5 trophies since May, and that they have gone to places like the Bernabau and Allianz arena and controlled both games. It feels like the winning machine is going up through the gears and we are due to wipe the floor with them at Anfield. Would be delicious if we did.
