How many points will be needed to win the league?

This whole thread every season from February is just people predicting rivals won't drop points until there are no games left to play.
Just purely a coping mechanism

Mad that people say that Arsenal are so good at the minute, when the form book says we've been the best team in the league for the last 25 league games, and more recently the last 10 league games

I'm not sure what more people want to see stat wise to reassure them, but we are the best team in the league at the moment, it's as simple as that

We will win our last 4 games

I don't know if Arsenal will or won't win it, but like you say I know we are very good and they should be begging us to drop points not the other way round.

And I do think the point you're making about our quality should be shouted from the rooftops. For all the "not as strong as they were in previous seasons" chat, we are unbeaten since last year. In any season before Pep arrived on these shores the press would be screaming about our excellent form.

Arsenal have been very good again this season and have certainly improved mentally

I still have them down as more likely to drop points than us though, despite the fact I think both of us will win our remaining games

Sometimes I think even our own fans fall for the media spin on the title race. Arsenal need to win all their games and also still need us to drop points - either possible, both unlikely.

31 games unbeaten ( Madrid was s draw) in all competitions.
Any other team doing this would be lauded to fuck.

I think both us and them will win their remaining games,,,,,but at it gets closer all will be by narrower margins. Hat off to Arsenal, today is one game I thought they would drop points!

Last day of the season will be interesting though and I think we will have already won the league by then, but with one game left to play.

Looking at the other end of the table, I think Forest will stay up on 29 points (they should beat Sheffield United), Luton will then beat Everton soon after, as they have nothing to play for now and then it will go to the final day with both teams losing their final matches but Forest surviving.

I think this season will see the lowest ever points needed to stay up. The record is 34 being in the 2004/05 season.

I really hope Vinny can pull off the miracle. It must be absolutely killing him that if he’d changed the keeper 2 months earlier they’d probably be safe.

Think we needed more goals today for GD to work in our favour. Odds are almost certainly gone for that now.

If Arsenal win their last three, their GD will be at a minimum +60. If we draw one and win three to bring GD into it that means we need to win those three games by an aggregate of at least 10 goals. And that's if Arsenal only win all their games by a single goal. If they win one of those games by a margin (likely) then we're going to need 6 or 7 goal wins.
Never underestimate this team.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we score a bucket next week. Our players have a week off for the first time in ages, we’re at home and Wolves defence isn’t great. They've also got nothing to play for and are in terrible form.

I think Haaland might want to lock up the golden boot and show everyone his poor (for him) form was due to the injury he was carrying as well.

Muric has made a couple of clangers too.
He needs a goalkeeper with top experience.
Might come calling to us again
