Media already talking about a dipper quadruple and they've not won a trophy yet
They talk about a Dipper quadruple every January , their last attempt ended up with two domestic cup wins without even managing to score a goal , the Dippers are all piss and wind , big mouthed braggards with no sense of reality.

The Dippers score in clusters. Nothing was more inevitable than that second goal flying in barely 2 minutes after Van Dickhead’s equaliser.

Opposition arses fall out of their trousers once that first one goes in.

Hopefully we’re more resilient than we traditionally are at Klanfield.
Fuck em, we score with Corn Flakes!

We fell away really early in 1983/4 and that Spurs season wasn’t a promotion.
Yes clearly not promotion if we were gunning for CL :)

My point was we have been in races where we have failed- not quite as impeccable as you suggested. Anyway I got your point and I am clinging to it for strength this season :)

Not sure it indicates a positive outcome for this season mate! Was just an observation about how fortunate we’ve previously been.

Liverpool having Europa league games either side of the game at Anfield could have a big part to play .... hopefully they get someone tough
Europa league games? With the greatest respect those are Sunday League matches Klopp will rotate for. A quick look at the first 11 for Luton were an indication of that. Believe me we will face a fresh fired up Liverpool first 11 with a hell of a crowd behind them. A city victory would be the greatest achievement of this season so far.

Same argument has been said every year and yet we continuously triumph.

The lack of clean sheets over the season will be more likely the reason.

Sort that issue out and we will be the team to beat once again.
I do see your reasoning, however, this year seems like the perfect storm of City being deposed as champs.
With our form (especially against the top teams) being poor, our defense being porous, arsenal and scouse being better, compelling victory narratives for both arsenal and scouse writing themselves, refs being super strict with City and more relaxed with the other two teams challenging us, City claiming a 4th title is bad for the EPL product, and the 115 hanging over us (tge biggest isue of the lot).
Some of these we can effect, but some are out of our hands.
I'm usually upbeat, but this year I can't shake off the feeling. I'm hoping for the best, but preparing for he worst.

There's some good teams in there like AC Milan, plus it's still more games they have to play and take seriously.... there's only so much rotation he can do

Under no illusions here that either Arsenal or Liverpool could pip us. I just don't know which would be worse.

My concern is not they are too good, I just think they are putting in a very good session so far.

My concern in our squad is still the ability to get Walker playing well. That our wingers aren't fully established yet and as a result we'll end up with Foden filling in and Kova or Nunes coming in for KDBs niggles.

It's probably coming down to us having to beat United Liverpool and Arsenal. Capable of it but see it as unlikely.
