Cool, so the odds were 43% that City would win and 57% that they would not so therefore the probability was that City would not win that game. I'd imagine similar odds this time around (although I did say earlier I thought Arsenal would be 5/4 or so this time and clearly that's miles out.)
You factored in the draw ?
Anyway you sure you’re not confusing us with the other Mcr Club with those odds ?:)

You missed the point. You were underdogs at a time when you were top of the league and City were in no sort of form. Having lost 3 times to us last season and not beaten us for eons, we will comfortably be favourites. Which was what was being discussed, not whether we are >50% likel to win

We've had a pretty easy start to the season but i've been impressed with how we've played.
Very confident this season

Well we have played Newcastle who are in the champions league, and we had Fulham who are no mugs, as Arsenal found out the week before.

Definitely more difficult games to come but we've already beaten one of the teams who will be looking for top 4 and got there last season.

Yeah, a CL team, a mid-table team and a couple of newly promoted teams away isn't a terrible sample for where we are.

Everyone was bigging up Newcastle to give us a bloody nose, and if we had to play Sheffield United away in the run-in everyone on here would be shitting themselves. Bigger tests to come, of course, but it's only after the fact that people are claiming these weren't a test.

Win the next 3 then reassess

Newcastle won't finish top 4 this season

Newcastle won't finish top 4 this season

Maybe not, but that's pure guess work right now.

ultimately that game was supposed to be a tough test because they are in the Champions League and finished top 4 just months earlier. All you can do is beat the team that they were proposed to be at the time of facing them.
