I wasn't being scientific, just going by my own opinion that they just aren't very good & have a poor managerView attachment 92853
Too early to judge. They had the worst schedule
What is the analysis for next 5 matches?View attachment 92853

TBF in my own statistics they are off to a very bad start. Then I saw opta stats and think to share them.I wasn't being scientific, just going by my own opinion that they just aren't very good & have a poor manager
I don't know if there is one, if I find something I will gladly share it.What is the analysis for next 5 matches?
Correct. Correlation with finishing positions increases until after game NINE then it flatlines until game 32 after which it climbs again.View attachment 92853

I think Opta have a table predictor, can't confirm whether it's better than 538, probably not, we were 90.2% to win the league before the season, we're now at 93.3%.

The Newcastle board are kind of expecting a drop-off this season (as per the We Are Newcastle documentary) as it's particularly difficult for a team qualifying for the Champions League for the first time to maintain their league form. The documentary showed some stats on it and almost every team failed to get back in the next year. I would imagine that's only got worse since the introduction of FFP due to funding squad improvements in order to cope with the extra workload.Newcastle won't finish top 4 this season
To add to this we've dropped slightly since the 27th August, now at 91% to win the league (still higher than the start of the season), I would guess due Arsenal and Liverpool getting decent results.
