I still think we'll win the league but so much rests on KDB getting & staying fit.
We just don't have enough creativity without him

I like the optimism fella but we have to go to some well known graveyards for City in that period, if we want to win it this season we’re gonna have to be a lot closer than last season, the good thing this season is it looks like everyone’s beating each other, the bad is it looks likely to be a 3-4 horse race (for now at least) we’ve been here many times before, hence those odds, but it might be worth a ton on the Arse & dips to cover costs for the CL final at Wembley ;)
For some context Arsenal have played 5 out of 8 league games at home including City, Spurs, and United and 3 away, 2 against shit teams. We've played 5 out of 8 on the road. Let's start there...
Anyone who thinks any of the current top 6 can outpace City over the next THIRTY games needs to have their head examined. That's not me being Billy-Big-Fuck-All or whatever you call it. It's just reality. Some of the shit being chatted on here is fucking comical, if not criminal. Go ask any supporter of any other team gun to their head who is the best side and who will win the Prem then get back to me. The odds are what they are because the bookies aren't in the business of giving away money. And gamblers drive the odds when risking their bread. Money talks, bullshit media hype and supporter hysteria walks when people speak with their cash.
Anyone who doubts us can save their breath coming back at me as I'm telling you in advance to fuck right on off.

When are we looking at him being back? Start of December if Pep's optimism is well-founded?
Somebody at the match yesterday claimed he is back for the scouser game on Nov 25. Seems optimistic and I doubt Pep would throw him in straight away anyway after what happened earlier. But maybe he can make the bench if going well in training?

Luck is a made up hindsight-based entity in the same bracket as other things that don’t exist like fate and omens etc.

Whether shots are rocketing in the top corner or going to the corner flag and take a deflection that go in, they’ve worked a situation that could lead to a goal… and did so 8 more times than we did in the game. That’s not luck, that’s just doing more than we did.
Simply not true. They created very little and even Martinelli's shot would have been comfortably saved by Ederson but for the freak deflection. We actually had the best chance of the game in the opening minutes from Gvardiol and then Ake. The stats say Arsenal had 12 shots, but majority were either tame or more suited for the Rugby World Cup. We also did very little after that initial salvo but they were not clearly superior to us over the 94 mins.

No rationale spurs fans have us in with a shout, yet, more about enjoying our football and aiming for 3rd/4th - we are just not ready.

Not sure why you are all worried though, have city not proven multiple times they are the masters at handling the pressure of a title chase? It’s where the rest of us, until we actually do it, will likely fall short like last season.
Not all of us are worried...not to be arrogant or boastful but I believe we're the best side in the Prem until proven otherwise and we're still a pretty good distance away from that happening as far as I can see...

Their xG was .41, they weren't clearly superior to my nut sack...

The last 2 games have shown City are not overwhelming favourites as many say. Right now the football is sleep inducing as it was in the middle of last season.
How was it 4 days ago?

Being favourites and walking it are two very different things. The odds are about City winning the league, not about walking it. I agree with the bookies we are favourites.

If you believe we are going to walk it, bet your house on it. No, actually don't. Don't rely on over optimistic takes.

If we don't go through injury crises, we are likely to win, not walk, the league. But nobody knows whether important players won't get injured, after winning 3 PLs in a row and the Treble. We are in uncharted waters.
That's all I'm trying to say. WIN the league. I don't care if it's by 1 or 20 points or in January or late May. That's all white noise to me. All things being equal barring any additional key injuries we are still the best bet, simple as...

Just good? Is doing a treble the new standard? Wow...
Only one club in football history has won a treble (or quadruple in Celtic’s case) and then retained their league and CL the following season - Ajax in 1972-73.

I didn’t say they were. I’m just saying that a shot that deflects in the net isn’t lucky (or unlucky for us).

So what's your point? I'm saying winning a Prem or a CL is much better than good...

So am I.

Only one of the ten previous teams who’ve won a treble have retained the league and CL the next season, so it would make it an incredible achievement for us to do it this season… I’d say a better achievement than winning a treble last season.

After our domestic treble we didn’t retain the PL or FAC.
