I remain firmly of the opinion that whatever this "version" of City is, Pep has built a team that is very, very hard to beat and that is able to deliver knockout blows at this time of the season. It's not to say we are guaranteed anything, but I do think so much of the season is about getting to this point. Like you facetiously point out, we are having a "bad" season and Arsenal are having the best season they've had in years...that should be terrifying for everyone else.

I think everyone thinks we're having a bad season since the 2017-18 season when we had the cushion of 19 points.

But that's not reality.. usually title races are closer, much closer.

That said we've got a bad habit of giving stupid goals this season and hopefully we can rectify it.

Yeah, we have been far from our best, but I thought we were pretty poor last season until the spring and look how that turned out!

I hope I'm wrong here but I feel if we go for the lot this season we could end up empty handed.
The team doesn't seem as good this season as last.
Many reasons for that, Gundo leaving and Erling not quite upto his amazing standards of last year being 2.
I'd love us to become the first English side to win the title 4 yrs on the run.
If we fail, then to regain the champions league again would be awesome.
But I feel alot of fans are expecting a treble again, which is insane.
We need to be prepared fir this not happening 2 yrs on the bounce and hope we can get ar least 1 of the above, which would be incredible a year on from winning the lot.
Some really really tough games coming up which I think will stretch our small squad to its limits.
Let's hope we are celebrating in May regardless of what it is

with gundo and mahrez going and repalced by young players we are having a transitional season with 4 new players bedding in

we still could win a treble though

Crazy how unbalanced that draw is. City and Arsenal looking up against it.

Even after today, the four favourites in the betting for the CL are the four teams on City's half of the draw.

The four toughest teams in the EL are of course on the opposite side of the draw to Liverpool.

Everything seems ideal for Liverpool. Their fans are probably happy with the draw and thinking that it's Liverpool's destiny to win the league and the lot in Klopp's last season. Which probably means they'll fail to win the PL again.

Loved our Champions League draw but having just seen Liverpool's Europa League draw, they must be title favourites now.

Their 2nd legs will be resting players and they have the easiest last 10 league games.
not their fault though they hvee a better run, it is because they failed last season, it is the luck of the draw, when we possibly drop out of the top four post pep we will also get such luck.

I bet most of them would prefer our position and a potential treble

Gundogan and Mahrez leaving and Grealish form hit and miss and always injured. That’s 3 of our midfield from last season.
