Radio 5 Lies bemoaning the possibility of us winning the league again this evening. Leaving aside the fact that few people in this country seem to appreciate excellence if we hadn't won the league the last 7 times we did the rags would have had 3 the dippers 3 and the tarquins 1, leaving aside if we win it this year we stop one of these clubs. In other words we're stopping the 3 teams that have won the league the most from winning it further.

For some reason we never really talk about how much that United team did bottle it in the very real sense of the word that year.

Losing a game against Villa isn't really bottling it. Losing to Wigan, being 4-2 up against Everton but drawing the game, and then going to a rival and not having a shot on target? One of the all time great bottle jobs. Us nearly fucking it on the last day and Aguero's heroics overshadows an absolutely embarrassing penultimate season from old bacon face.
