Mate, you're doing it wrong.

Every team we play is shit and we should have beat them.

Every team everyone else plays are world beaters who have got some tricky fixtures out of the way.

Repeat until April when even relegation teams we are about to play are in many ways considered trickier than rivals playing mid-tables side.
Yeah, logic and recent history seems to go out the window with a lot of fans thinking.

We all know how it likely pans out and it isn't being arrogant etc

We've nothing to prove through playing anyone, we are the Champions and it's the other 19 teams that have to prove they can compete with us.

Yet to see anything major to be concerned about this season, and we've not even got going yet.

Of the games they've played, which do you think we would have dropped 2 points in (or more) given that's how far behind they are of us currently?

Chelsea are shit, so I'd argue only the Spurs away game was their only real tough game in comparison to ours, and they got beat.
they’ve played Chelsea away, Spurs away and Newcastle away, these are tough fixtures. Last season we got 4 points from 9 in same fixtures, we beat Chelsea 1v0 (same score the time before that). You’re tempting carpet saying Chelsea are shit

Chelsea are shit, that’s beyond debate. Anyway I haven’t seen any team that’s better than us this season.

They've 5 points from 6 games, and have scored 5 goals, they've been shit.

The only game they've won which I'd upgrade is their win at Newcastle. They've played 3 of the bigger clubs, and have only won one. All 3 of them will finish below them, so what does that tell you?

I couldn't care less how many points we got from those games last season, as they're just individual games, and there is absolutely no context to comparing their games this season to ours last season.

It's not exactly title winning form if it is going to be a neck and neck come the end of the season when results against other top teams are ultimately the deciding factor.

Current TV deal runs to 2024-25 season.
TV companies need to have a competitive league to justify the £1.6bn per season, £80+m average per club, £8m per game.
Premier League must look at it and wonder if 4-in-a-row City would make it less attractive.
EPL sells at more or less double the TV rights for two-team La Liga and one-team Bundesliga.

Call me cynical but getting back to a Big-4 is how they sold it globally back in the 90s - now the Big-4 would be City, Dippers, Arse and Spuds. They need a viable London option to attract more global attention.
Influencing the chances of the evil-3 to challenge City makes it more attractive with a bit more jeopardy and as we all know, it's all about the money.
Dubious refereeing decisions, match scheduling, cards/suspensions are all possible tools to influence results.

I can see it going to the last 6-8 games before City's class and quality pulls ahead. Again.
4-in-a-row.

The outgoing supremo of the PL Scudermore saying it would be good for the product if another name was on the pl trophy ( insert dippers, rags, tarquins).

Not exactly outgoing - he retired five years ago. Should be taking it easy with his pipe and slippers rather than pushing irritating narratives like this.

Chelsea's results are worse than their performances. They aren't as bad as their position suggests.

Generally, I'd agree it's pointless to compare results. We tend to perform better against the better teams. The potential of this team is frightening and it will show at some point.
