Seriously tho, once we get back to having a stable team with Kev, Rodri and stones the flow will continue. Then we can introduce the new players slower. The limitations of some new buys will not be lost on pep.
This is the problem, we’re throwing in our new players when they need the old heads to stir the ship. Get Stones and Rodri back and we’ll be fine. Barring a brilliant run of winning games until December, we’re going to be playing catch up when we come back from the Club World Cup. I got a bit excited when Walker said he wants to run away with it this season, but it was to good to be true. It will be another tight title race again.

we will find out hat we are made of now as in next 6 league games we play Brighton, United, Chelsea, Pool and Spurs who all expected to finish top8 with only lower half fixture is Bournemouth.
I don't think we were that poor today but we better pick it up and fast because those fixures are a far cry from what we opened the season with.

What is a success this season?
For me either the PL or the CL will constitute a good season.
A year after the treble the natural thing is for a drop off

A deep CL run and a title challenge are a success for me. As you said, it was only last season that we won the treble. Pep has set the bar so high that a season without a trophy is almost looked at as a massive failure. There's a reason no team in the history of football has won four leagues in a row. There's a dropoff that's almost unavoidable.

It is a transition season and we have lost some creativity. My gut feeling is we will win the CL again because we are very strong defensively. Not sure about the PL. I think it is wide open. I don't fancy Arsenal though. They just seem too emotional. All that waving their arms to gee up the crowd seems a bit desperate. It could even be Spurs because the manager just seems so relaxed and they have nothing to lose. Playing with no pressure is a huge advantage but they need luck with injuries....like Leicester had.
I would rip your arm off right now if offered winning champions league, Spurs title and top 4 this season
