Last season started like this - boring, slow football which was centred around us keeping the ball for the sake of it. No real drive or ambition to get forward.

Then it switched. And we started obliterating teams again. We’ll come good again 100% and like last season, as long as we’re close to the top when it happens then we’ll win the league again.

But fuck me, we need to start moving the ball quicker. And with purpose!

We need to start shooting too, we try to be too perfect and keep the ball too long .
A shot won't always go in but sometimes a lucky deflection might go in like arsenal today, come off the keeper etc and a City player could be in a good position to score

Closer this year but if we can have a bit of luck with injuries once KDB is back then we will be there or there abouts...KDB goes down again and we wont win it however

Chelsea-Arsenal next round, can see Poch to get something from that game, agent Sterling and Palmer need to help us.
but honestly play like vs Wolves or today and Brighton will be a problem for us despite they leak some goals these days.

Arteta this sends a message! 8 games gone! If they come to ours end of march beat us go clear at the top!

That is sending a message Arteta you complete over the top bellend

This feels more like the 19-20 season, but without Liverpool leaving us trailing

No need to panic, but equally I expect more defeats, as the notion that we'll suddenly find an extra gear after Christmas is unrealistic.

If anything, our best chance might be the number of potential title rivals beating each other and results falling in our favour.
It isn’t unrealistic to think we might find an extra gear after Christmas if Kevin comes back healthy and ready to go.

Proper panders to those tarquin cunts.

They were screaming for an offside today…from a goal kick.

Can we not just call this a transition season? Like the dips do every second season after the juice man has called.

Can we not blame injuries? Like the dips and the rags.

Let’s blame our owners and start a protest…Anyone?

Oh even better let’s turn on the coach like the rags and Arsenal and every other fucker.

Can’t compete against the might arse and we are in fucking Transition -:)

Need ffp to sort this mess out? Or maybe our owner can be caught selling guns to Israel or Russia or China…

Last season, we were a bit pedestrian. After 8 games we had won 6, drew 2. arse were top on 21 points.

We are definitely lacking creativity in the middle but, stay in touch, get the WC Cup and Christmas out of the way then motor on.

Spuds are set up nicely, just got the Premier League and FA Cup to think about.
No rationale spurs fans have us in with a shout, yet, more about enjoying our football and aiming for 3rd/4th - we are just not ready.

Not sure why you are all worried though, have city not proven multiple times they are the masters at handling the pressure of a title chase? It’s where the rest of us, until we actually do it, will likely fall short like last season.

Btw fixture to fixture we are 6 points worse off than last season vs the 6 clubs we played already.

Newcastle home (was a win too)
Fulham home (was a win too)
WHU away (was a win too)
Forest home (was a win too)
Wolves away (Was a win)
Arse away (was a win)

Burnley home and Sheff. U. away, I guess we can take them as replacement for best relegated and 2nd best relegated(Leicester, Leeds) , both were wins last year too, so overall 6 points worse off in 8 games.

we will find out hat we are made of now as in next 6 league games we play Brighton, United, Chelsea, Pool and Spurs who all expected to finish top8 with only lower half fixture is Bournemouth.

this is certainly a more risky set of fixtures. we can either make a big move to the top of the table or get some draws and losses in and make it a big and very tight top4 soap opera.

Seriously tho, once we get back to having a stable team with Kev, Rodri and stones the flow will continue. Then we can introduce the new players slower. The limitations of some new buys will not be lost on pep.
