How many points will be needed to win the league?

I never said we had one hand on the trophy you forgetful twat.

I said if we kept winning every game for another month we’d be 10 points ahead, with one hand on the trophy. I even said when you complained that if we don’t keep winning then we won’t be 10 points ahead but you wouldn’t hear it.

And we’d be 6 points ahead of Arsenal and 9 points ahead of Liverpool with another few games to go.

So I was right. IF we had carried on winning we’d be coasting.

You’d be much less angry if you learned to read what people say instead of just inventing something you can get angry about.

Ifs and buts. Yeah no shit if we win all our games we will be ahead, big fucking call that.

Just saying the words one hand on the trophy after 6 games is fucking stupid, in any context. And so smalltime, as you like to call it.

And yes, it angers me no end.

Plenty still to play for though.

Frustrating to win the first six and then lose all of our momentum so quickly.

Hopefully we can go on one of our famous long winning runs when we come back.

The club can’t dine out on last seasons Treble forever. Frankly that was an embarrassing performance from the Champions of England today. Total crap.
Things will improve when Rodri returns but I hope he doesn’t get a long term injury.

We have players out injured, a player suspended, players finding their feet, and players turning out who look to be carrying injuries and playing within themselves. Things should improve after the international break.

The players half way through the game trying to get the crowd up, Jesus wept, they won't win the title with Arteta.
Never thought I’d say this, but if we were not to win it, I would enjoy it immensely if Ange lifted it ahead of Arteta and Klopp.

We’ll win the league, I’m not even worried. Arsenal won’t win the league, they are to desperate. I thought they were poor today, I know we were but this is pre Christmas City. Keep in distance and teams shit themselves when City are chasing behind.

This feels more like the 19-20 season, but without Liverpool leaving us trailing

No need to panic, but equally I expect more defeats, as the notion that we'll suddenly find an extra gear after Christmas is unrealistic.

If anything, our best chance might be the number of potential title rivals beating each other and results falling in our favour.

What was your opinion 3 years ago? One year ago? Because the start to both of those were worse than this... people here...

Last season started like this - boring, slow football which was centred around us keeping the ball for the sake of it. No real drive or ambition to get forward.

Then it switched. And we started obliterating teams again. We’ll come good again 100% and like last season, as long as we’re close to the top when it happens then we’ll win the league again.

But fuck me, we need to start moving the ball quicker. And with purpose!

Obviously we have injuries/suspensions but feels like the squad is weaker this season. Kovacic isn't as good as Gundogan and we've traded passes for ball carriers in the middle.
It is a transition season and we have lost some creativity. My gut feeling is we will win the CL again because we are very strong defensively. Not sure about the PL. I think it is wide open. I don't fancy Arsenal though. They just seem too emotional. All that waving their arms to gee up the crowd seems a bit desperate. It could even be Spurs because the manager just seems so relaxed and they have nothing to lose. Playing with no pressure is a huge advantage but they need luck with injuries....like Leicester had.

I'm currently stuck in London traffic on the way home from Arsenal so I don't need any smart arse I'm-a-bigger-blue-than-you bollocks.

However last season we had a couple of early away draws at Villa and Newcastle where we played well, and any result was possible.
We also had a largely fit squad, including a midfield of Gundogan Rodri and De Bruyne,.and more importantly, we were creating lots of chances.

Gundogan has gone and De Bruyne's injured so there was always going to be a drop off.

That doesn't mean we can't be champions, but then again, I never suggested otherwise in my previous post.
