Let's all be honest this title race is going to be closer than any other year between 3 or 4 clubs I still back us to finish stronger than the rest, will it be enough hope so.
The press mustn't have mentioned that too much9 men
Jones and Jota both sent off
Oh yeah! Forgot about Jota9 men
Jones and Jota both sent off
Your point was they would remain on top even if we won our games in hand. I was simply pointing out that that isn't necessarily true if we score enough goals in those games. And? They have other games to play before we meet.
I doubt you are misunderstanding this, or the point I have made.
Oddly if they lose today and we win our 2 games in hand we go top, the odd part both those games in hand will be against Brentford.Don't get me wrong, I will by no means be distraught with a draw. Will welcome it if it happens.
But with a better goal difference they will stay top even if we win our games in hand, till we meet at their place, so for that reason mostly (and a few others too) I want an Arsenal win. Whereas after an Arsenal win, we still jump ahead of them if we win out games.
For one, from your posts you were inferring Haaland not starting for a while in case he disrupts us, not one game which is a bit different and not something I disagree with too strongly.STARTING a partly fit Erling, who has been injured for 9 weeks,in a game like this is unnecessary and unlike you, Pep won't do it !!
Erling will be introduced progressively as his fitness, condition and rhythm improves....and as the team needs him.
If this had happened with Rodney Marsh in March and April 1972 we'd probably have deservedly won the league.
The 'comparison' as you refer to it, is neither lazy, nonsensical nor point scoring.
The historical reflection is relevant but perhaps only to those of a certain vintage who have the benefit of experience.
How old are you ?
Apart from that game, where I assume var fell asleep, they have been getting all the decisions. VAR is their best friends, as are bent refsThey have only list one match and that was when they had 2 men sent off and conceded right at the end.
They just seem to keep getting the points
We could still finish outside the top 4 come May, regardless of the result today. So could Liverpool, and Arsenal.
Yes anythibg can happen over the long term, but is a bit of a pointless analogy to the discussion at hand and the short term momentum and possible outcomes.
