Ake is the most underrated player in the league mate, 7.5 out of 10 every game
Agree he's a good player, City don't have any bad players, I just stated it is marginal whether he's better or worse than what we've already got so I wouldn't take him on that basis.

I reckon if you did a combined City/Arsenal 1st XI then Saliba and maybe Odegaard get in (not ahead of KDB though hence 'maybe' in the Foden role). Saka not so much this season (last season he'd have got in), Rice is terrific but Rodri is even better.

But if you did a combined Arsenal/Liverpool XI there'd be many more Arsenal players in that side.

Ratboy Neville talked today of this being a crucial result as we're now entering the home straight of the title race.

Must be a very long home straight given that we still have 40% of the fixtures still to play
Weird. On the sky sports podcast he literally said “we’re entering the final lap, not the home straight, that will come at the end of March”

He also said we were his clear favourites at this point.

A great result for us last night. Liverpool remain a bigger threat because they generally win at Anfield and pick up plenty of points away from home. We also still have to go there, and don't win very often.

Arsenal are still a challenger, but I can't see them ironing out those random poor performances that see them drop points against sides they should put to the cleaners.

Maybe things will settle down a bit going into the home straight, but I'm not so sure.

March is a huge month for us, but it's not the big games that worry me - it's the ones we should win. I don't think we've played particularly badly in many this season, we've just uncharacteristically dropped points through a failure to see games out. But we've dominated and been ahead in the majority of them. Last season we had really flat performances against the likes of Brentford and Everton at home and other than Wolves away we've not had many this time around.

5pts off top with two games in hand. Time to turn the dial up starting tonight.

Yep, can’t really argue with that

I wouldn’t swap Foden with anyone from any club to be honest mate. He's criminally underrated outside of Manchester. If he was a United player he’d already have a knighthood.

Back in our hands, it’s crunch time. Expect a different attitude going forward.

I wouldn’t trust anybody’s opinion on any football related matters if they didn’t rate Foden as highly as he deserves to be rated.
There’s even one or two blues who still don’t get it.

There are no brilliant teams away from home so far this season.

Liverpool have won 6, drawn 4 and lost 2 away from Anfield in the league. A 50% win record away from home won't be good enough to win them the league.

Their home form is the best in the league so far, though.
