Totally different set of circumstances this season . We are coming if a treble season aswell as winning the super cup and world club cup so the hunger is not the same.

I think our solution to the gundogan and Mahrez exits has ultimately not been sufficient. We signed a left winger to replace the right winger Mahrez meaning one of bernardo/Phil has to play right wing every week taking whoever it is out of the midfield rotation, and Gundo has mostly been replaced by striker who doesn't understand the position. There's a quality deficit there even without the long term injuries to key players like de bruyne/stones/haaland. If you add haaland's poor season on top of that, we're in a pretty good position for how we've played IMO. But we have weaknesses we didn't have last year that may ultimately cost us, but they also might not.

Coming on here anyone would think we had lost 11 and drew 1 of last 12 not the other way round. Hunger not there? Your having a laugh u seen how disappointed the players were at full time they never stopped trying or believing till the final whistle.

Liverpool's defence indvidually isn't much better so it isn't completely beyond us no matter what the stats tell us in that regard. Going back a couple of seasons to a last minute penalty home defeat to Spursy I did think we blew our chance of winning the league that season. Arsenal are still a threat but like us does have the Champions League to contend with.

And they're back out in force again.12 months ago today we drew at Forest and the doom merchants were out in force. Not promising this season will have the same outcome but way too soon to be coming to conclusions now with the inevitable twists and turns still to come.
