There’ll be a lot of squeaky arses over at Arsenal and Liverpool.
Especially as we have been unarguably bad a lot this year and they have just a single point on us.

Plus, psychologically they both know how ruthless we are business end of the year and they’ve both bottled the league in the past

Yep. This ain't our first rodeo.

On the 5 live commentary when Elliott came on, rather than referring to him by his surname, John Murray said “here comes little Harvey Elliott with his mop of curly blond hair” like he was some much loved Hollywood child star

Truly nauseating
Couldn't really say "Here comes the ugly little bellend with the shit haircut and racist mum" though could he?

What's interesting is that noise coming out of Arsenal after the bus parking exercise at the Etihad was that the hierarchy felt Man City were the main threat for the league and not Liverpool. It was believed that Liverpool would drop points and that chasing City would be a dangerous place to be.

We'll see how that pans out, I thought we'd play a 1st XI vs Luton to get the goal difference even higher vs the Dippers but the club seem quite chilled about that and remaining ahead of Manchester City is what matters the most and Liverpool have been disregarded somewhat in the equation.

Will be interesting to see if last seasons capitulation steels Arsenal or is the catalyst for another melt down. Squeaky bum time hasn't even started yet but when there's 2 or 3 games left.....

Yes and they’ve won their last two so to win every game remaining would mean they won 9 in a row (more than they’ve managed at any point this season).
It is virtually nailed on that Arsenal will drop points at Spurs. It is such an emotional game for Arsenal (it's like you vs the Dippers) and Spurs will do everything to stop Arsenal winning the league.

Rags away will be far easier for Arsenal than Liverpool found it.

The other major banana skin will be home vs Chelsea. Yes Chelsea are a shower of shite that couldn't even win at Bramall Lane but again local rivalry means they'd rather City/Dippers win the PL than Arsenal. They could cause an upset.

Home vs Villa is a false flag, no idea why people think we'll drop points against them- it could happen but is very unlikely as they'll leave spaces and Arsenal will play through that.

All the talk of playing top 6 sides being difficult- well yes but also you don't want to be playing relagation threatened sides at this time either. Forest away, Luton away etc, absolutely no fun at this stage of the season. At the Etihad City will beat Luton but it won't be a gimme - they'll compete physically and make it tough. Much better to play someone like Bournemouth who won't go down but aren't going to get into Europe either.

It's weird as we still don't think we will win the league. We are probably still a year away (and a proper number 9 away) from being a crack outfit.

We could win it of course but it's more out of hope rather than expectation so I don't think the pressure is really felt at present. We've been very lucky with injuries this season which has made a massive difference. Losing just one of Saliba, Gabriel, Rice or Odegaard would signal big trouble as we can't replace them. Perhaps Partey would do a job but he's not battle hardened yet.

Of course it has relevance. If you are saying (correctly) that dippers/tarquins are going to drop points based on the fact that they have done so in 9 games then it stands to reason by your logic that we are also going to drop points because we've already done so in 10 games. It's how we buck that trend that will be the winning, or losing of the league
Are you familiar with blue sharks?

Great weekend of football.
What struck me was Klopps body language before they capitulated. He looked very anxious and that he had the weight of the world on his shoulders . All this fist pumping and full throttle football can be counter productive towards the end of the season when you need calm heads . The cult of a football club is ran on pure emotion and It doesn’t do them any favours when it comes to the crunch in my opinion. Saying that I still feel they’re slight favourites, they have the fire power to get through games

Arsenal are looking very decent and seem to be very solidified . Very tough side to beat at the minute , Arteta seems to have instilled a great unity and the squad refreshed after their winter break. I do feel like they’ll struggle to score in a couple of games and drop a few points

I hope to god I’m wrong but I have a feeling we will just miss out , I just thinks it’s a step too far this season and I’m at peace with that if we come short. All we can ask for is that we’re in the mix again at this stage after the heroics of last season. Hold on tight it’s going to be nervy and I’m going to try and enjoy it.

We're getting some of a injured back to full fitness and they're coming into form just at the right time. The squad has being rotated so a lot of players are getting involved.
It''s been good to see Lewis and Bobb getting more minutes and been playing well.

The squad and everyone just looks a lot happier too.

If that continues and we can get Walker and Ake back soon, i think everyone should watch out!

Klopp is already flapping, why mention United will get beat by Arsenal next month if they play like that? Arsenal are better this season, no doubt about that but I'm convinced we'll do this as we've been there before, albeit with different squads of course. Let's not forget, we were 8 points behind the rags in April and still won it. Squad rotation is key, we've got that. Keep the faith, it's down to mentality now.

For the derby of the damned, it was unsurprisingly shite, though with some unexpected good goals. However this Scouse team is nowhere near their bestest ever ones. Stretford's shittest held on against this supposedly fearsome attack, I was in two minds at wank biscuits pen, those twats conceding a pen always good, scruffy mo converting, not so good. Contented myself with a hearty ejaculation of "cunts!"

Not seen the presser for shergar's teeth, but the Teutonic twat was rattled during the game. Are those half formed doubts rearing their heads again?!

Arsenal for all their gamesmanship are getting results but have got the hardest run in of us three.

After the arse game, I really thought it was a season too far, amazing how things change in a week. It's going to be a titanic battle for the title, but the one you don't want staring you down in the home straight is Manchester City!
