Two of our recent wins had nothing to do with being fresh but rather Real Madrid like miracles on the final day. Also if you check you will find that most years we win the league our GD is superior to our challengers. I do accept that any reckless pursuit of goals in a match can prove counter productive but in general it is a useful shield and one which can more often than not prove a deterent to those chasing you in a title race.
