There were many on here saying a point away at Newcastle was a poor result. It certainly wasn't, they are a decent team and they can take points off anybody in this league, we squeaked past them in the last minute to win last year. The same is true for Chelsea, Spurs, Villa and Brighton.
So far, versus the equivalent fixture last season:
Chelsea (A) +2 points
Ipswich (H) N/A
West Ham (A) Same
Brentford (H) Same
Arsenal (H) Same
Newcastle (A) -2 points
Fulham (H) Same
Wolves (A) +3 points
Southampton (H) N/A
Given we beat all the relegated teams home and away last season, that means we are 3 points better off overall on the equivalent fixture set last year. Which given the squad problems is brilliant.
We beat Bournemouth away last year, so if we want to continue this trend which will get us past 90 points come the end of the season, then we need a win today.
