Looking at City, Arsenal and Liverpool so far this season, I can see Forest doing a Leicester.

The three favourites have looked distinctly average so far, I’m not impressed with anyone.

We look as poor as we did in Pep’s first season.
We look like we need some new ideas.
Very slow and predictable.

Thought at the start of the season 3rd was the best we could achieve due to the last few years of non stop football catching up with us and an awful transfer window that did not address key issues with our squad and going into a season with some ageing, injury prone key players, a weak squad and only 1 striker.
Then the Rodri injury and the entire squad looking like extras from the Walking Dead, i still think 3rd but cannot see us challenging the Dippers who have goalscorers throughout their side and who will always bail them out, unlike us with being so awful in front of goal and no one bar Haaland you would bet on scoring. ( very poor again today, 4 on target from 19 attempts)

Roughly where we were at the same stage in 22/23 and 23/24.

As always, it's January onwards when things start to take shape.

Something feels different this time around though.

Team looks tactically tired, ageing, constantly getting injured, no attackers other than Haaland are showing anything of any note offensively and defensively this is as bad as Pep's first season.

We will be there or thereabouts because we still have lots of quality but the edge just doesn't look there this season.

somehow players need to add goals. no way we go far if only Haaland and defenders able to score.

10 rounds gone in PL and how many goals scored overall by Bernardo, Foden, KDB, Gundo, Grealish, Savio, Doku? total of 1 goal. I laugh that off if someone tell me this before round 1.
lets hope these 7 players will be more fit than not next 10 rounds and certainly score more than one fucking goal between them. 1 each wouldnt be even great but a start at least but one collectively is nonsense.

who the hell is picking up the G+A we dont have from last season due to Rodri and JA.
Foden whose numbers regressed big time so far?

Something "felt different" in 22/23 and 23/24 as well. And there are hundreds of posts from this time 10-12 months ago justifying why the doubters were absolutely right on those occasions as well. Things got so bad in 22/23 that Pep had to rip it up, throw Rico Lewis out there, and start again. We'll only know where this team really stands when it's 2025 and we're on the approach. Like it's always been since about 2020.
