I have been thinking, and if we had a premier league of the BIGGEST clubs playing in English football what would it look like? Taking into consideration fan base, finance, stadium, history etc

In no particular order here's mine:

Man City
Man United
Arsenal
Liverpool
Everton
Chelsea
Nottingham Forest
Leeds United
Newcastle United
West Ham United
Sunderland
Sheffield Wednesday
Aston Villa
Tottenham
Blackburn
Derby County
Stoke City
Wolves
Norwich City
QPR

Maybe a few dodgy ones in there that could be replaced with others,

Here's my Top 20, based solely on the number of seasons spent in the Top Flight...

1 EVERTON 109
2 ASTON VILLA 101
3 LIVERPOOL 97
4 ARSENAL 95
5 MANCHESTER UNITED 87
6 MANCHESTER CITY 83
7 NEWCASTLE UNITED 81
8 SUNDERLAND 81
9 TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 77
10 CHELSEA 77
11 WEST BROMWICH ALBION 75
12 BOLTON WANDERERS 73
13 BLACKBURN ROVERS 72
14 SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY 66
15 DERBY COUNTY 65
16 WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS 63
17 MIDDLESBROUGH 60
18 SHEFFIELD UNITED 60
19 BIRMINGHAM CITY 57
20 NOTTINGHAM FOREST 56

For a more modern twist, here are the teams who have won the most points in the Top Flight since the Second World War to the end of the 2010-11 season...

1 MANCHESTER UNITED 3,995
2 ARSENAL 3,775
3 LIVERPOOL 3,548
4 EVERTON 3,128
5 TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 3,091
6 CHELSEA 2,965
7 ASTON VILLA 2,668
8 MANCHESTER CITY 2,315
9 NEWCASTLE UNITED 2,257
10 WEST HAM UNITED 2,028

I would have thought Ipswich and Southampton have a larger support than a few of those

Seasons in the top flight was surprising, the gap not as big as I was expecting. Shows how weak they were outside the Prem years I guess.

Is that top 20 points adjusted for 2/3 points for a win?
