Chelsea are at home on Friday. Villa are home to Spurs.

Us not getting in the Champions league would be a financial disaster.
Not purely from the money made for being in the competition, but the loss in sponsorship revenue would inevitably have a negative impact on player acquisition.
After our drab, lacklustre performance on Saturday, Bournemouth is now a much bigger game for the Club, certainly from a financial perspective.
I haven't watched the game and don't think I will now. But by all reports and posts on here I don't know where you got the;Southampton had nothing to play for and look how that went for us. That is the example though where anything can happen to anyone really, beat Bournemouth though and I think we will be ok.
Quite selective as I heard many Villa and Forest fans phone talksport saying FA Cup all day long.I'm a football fan not an accountant. This modern obsession with qualifying for the CL for the money is ridiculous in my opinion and destroying the traditions of football. I've spoken to Villa and Forest fans who despite winning fuck all in recent decades would rather qualify for the CL than win the cup because it enables them the money to compete in the future. That's absolute bollocks and shows how much football is being destroyed by money. Fans have turned into fucking accountants.
We've pocketed a shit load of cash and our net spend has been relatively low. There's no way a season out of the CL will be a financial disaster, particularly when there's a CWC paying huge sums this year. The FA Cup is the number 1 goal for me. As a kid I dreamt of City winning it and I have the same attitude now. I'd love us to make the CL too, but I'm relaxed about it. I want to win the CL and if we're not good enough to qualify for it, we're unlikely to be good enough to win it.
Investing wisely will ensure we still improve.

How do you know? Have you spoke to any Southampton fans or staff? Whilst I am sure they don't want that tag (which they wouldn't have got as they jointly had the fewest points) even Leicsteter, the second shittest team in the league managed to beat them recently, as did Fulham Villa and Spurs. Even if they was trying super hard on Saturday (they wasn't) they are still dog shit and a win was the minimum outcome. People are saying Fulham have nothing to play for but aren't they going for a top 10 finish? Same with Bournemouth. You could dissect every match and put up a case that they have something to play for.Southampton have been desperate to avoid been labelled as the worst ever premier league side and have been fighting hard in every match since Rusk was appointed. We picked the wrong side and the wrong setup and as a result allowed them dig in for the point they so desperately wanted.
I know I corrected itChelsea are at home on Friday. Villa are home to Spurs.
Southampton did have something to play for, though. They were playing not to be the worst team in Premier League history.Southampton had nothing to play for and look how that went for us. So that makes them all of a sudden be better than the previous 30 odd games? What a load of tosh. Bournemouth and Fulham are fighting for a top half finish so that's us fucked then isn't it.....Southampton did have something to play for, though. They were playing not to be the worst team in Premier League history.
They've been playing for that for a while and its not done them much good..Southampton did have something to play for, though. They were playing not to be the worst team in Premier League history.
No. When they still had a sliver of a chance of staying up they were playing more attack-minded football and left themselves vulnerable to being picked off, which they were, a lot. Then they got relegated and stopped playing for pride. So they sacked their manager and brought in Simon Rusk, who has clearly just told them to park the bus until they get to 12 points, which they now have. Which is why they'll get battered at Everton and lose against Arsenal. Our game against them was just bad timing. So that makes them all of a sudden be better than the previous 30 odd games? What a load of tosh. Bournemouth and Fulham are fighting for a top half finish so that's us fucked then isn't it.....
If Chelsea don't beat United then a win against Bournemouth all but guarantees us a top five finish. The Bournemouth game is obviously huge, by the time we play it we will probably be in 6th place and not in champions league places.
That was my gripe. It was obvious at half time that it wasn't working. Haaland never got a touch. We needed wingers and a bit more pace in the middle. I at least expected Marmoush and Doku to come on. He left it too late again.Southampton wanted fuck all apart from getting hammered.
Still pissed off with our performance yesterday.
Wtf was Pep thinking?
Fair enough, try it but when it becomes evident if ain't working don't just fucking sit there and do nowt!
Soton we're fucking shite and we couldn't score against them!
More chance of me playing than Chelsea not beating the ragsIf Chelsea don't beat United then a win against Bournemouth all but guarantees us a top five finish.
Chelsea and Forest both slipping up this weekend has given us a massive boost.
