Honest question; if it was another club that had the season we've had, would you say they deserve a CL spot next season, basing your opinion on their form over the last 8 months?

What people seem to be ignoring is that the only reason we are in 5th place is due to our great start to the season - those games at the start when we had Rodri and many of our other crocks available.

Unfortunately the reality is since then our form is bottom half of the table. Blues might wise up in the next few weeks when we drop to 8th and go out of the FA Cup. There are teams around us so much better than us.

Failure to qualify for the Champs League will be a financial disaster for City - especially in a year when we need a huge rebuild and have a wage bill out of control and won’t be able to get several huge earners off it before we hope other big earners arrive.

Traffic as of now and margins will be very very fine . Every point will matter .Despite being memed around Chelsea are 2 points off 3rd .Newcastle will be at 47 tomorrow IMG_1543.jpeg

Man I dunno...

This is a ridiculously tight race for top 5 and we still play Brighton and Bournemouth.

Pep hasnt shown me enough adaptation this season.

Lets hope it happens, I feel like alot of our financial freedom in the summer relies on qualification.

Not complaining but how on earth did Bournemouth not win that?

Probably the weirdest game I've ever watched since sitting in the Main Stand v Charlton in 1997 and shouting "DON'T LET F*****G CREANEY TAKE IT" just a split second before Creaney won the game for City with a last minute Free Kick.

Man City v Brighton
Man City v Leicester
Man Utd v Man City
Man City v Crystal Palace
Everton v Man City
Man City v Aston Villa
Man City v Wolves
Southampton v Man City
Man City v Bournemouth
Fulham v Man City

Tricky run my arse. Guardiola and the players need to get their finger out and actually perform. Enough of this slow , blunt football.
If we are going to drop points at least do so playing attacking football with a purpose.
Entertainment wise for the most part our performances would send you to sleep. He's the greatest manager out there surely he can come up with better than this.
So you feel confident about every game? Plenty of tough fixtures left. Bar rags, Leicester and saints the rest are in decent form.

Think it’s going to be fun. Think we’ll finish top four, but only just.

Think some of the recent comments on this thread have been pitiful. Much of our fan base has become pathetic with success.

This could still be a great season.
You should see the Guardiola thread. It's an absolute car crash.

I approach every game with confidence, first 10 mins usually sets the tone. Those other sides are man for man not as good as us( well according to the experts on here anyway) so therefore I'd expect us to beat them provided we prepare properly and put in a decent shift. That goes for Pep as well as the players.

On the plus side, most of our remaining games are at home. Although that's also true for Bournemouth.

On the minus side, 7 teams are vying for 1 (maybe 2) places (unless Forest drop off) & all have very similar records & points. The "six pointers" will be vital.

Rubbish.

We're becomes elite with elite expectations.

It's called evolution.

I'm delighted the fan base is up in arms about the slump. Only the pathetic fans are happy with it.

Not sure what your second paragraph is trying to say, but your third is predicated on the assumption that a team’s trajectory in always going to be upwards. It plainly is not, and cannot be.

Having an off season is perfectly normal, even for great teams.

We were always going to fall off a cliff at some point. This could not be avoided.

The fact we sustained it for as long as we did is something to be celebrated and cherished, but miserable cunts like you would rather grieve at the fact we didn’t keep it going for another season. And then another. And then another.

And that’s why tedious cunts like you will never be satisfied. Witnessing the greatest team to pay football from these shores wasn’t enough for you.

And why you plainly mustn’t have made the most of those amazing times. Because if you had you wouldn’t be spouting undiluted shit about ‘evolution’. Unless you’re a grumpy David Brent, of course.

And despite what you posted in your last paragraph, you don’t speak for the fan base. I know plenty of blues who aren’t remotely up in arms. Because they aren’t entitled cunts who pontificate about ‘evolution’.

Misery prefers company. That’s what’s been truly pathetic about this tedious and discernibly grumpy exchange.

Not occurred to visit, with good reason. And I’m even less so inclined now!
It's not all bad.........
I remember his first season when he ‘didn’t have the answers’ either. There were a fair few on here wanted him gone.
The PL had found him out, tikka taka would never work, he’ll be gone in a year.

I’m far from a ‘happy clapper’ but, after the unprecedented run of success he’s given us, after me feeling things at a football match I never thought I’d feel, after taking that banner at old Trafford and shoving it up their collective arses, after 4 in a row and after 2 trebles, I’m more than happy for him to have an off season, and that would be true if he perhaps hadn’t stayed too loyal to a few players who might be passed it, hadn’t had a terrible injury crisis and hadn’t seen his marriage fall apart…..
