Well the good news for you is that the bookies will be offering very generous odds on those teams to beat us

Fill your boots Trev
Will throw a few quid on here and there myself will soften the blown if we're on a terrible run stick it in the holiday fund for the end of season to get away from the liveprool love in for a bit when they invetiably win the league.

Our upcoming fixtures are absolutely grim. At this point, it’s seems more likely that we won’t finish in the top 4/5

Ipswich (A)
Chelsea (H)
Arsenal (A)
Newcastle (H)
Liverpool (H)
Tottenham (A)
Forest (A)
Brighton (H)

Let’s be real, we are going to get smashed left, right and centre in the upcoming weeks. If these fixtures go as expected, we’ll be finishing around 7th or 8th.

We also have PSG and Brugge in those fixtures and if we somehow beat Brugge, we’ll also have a 2 legged CL playoff in there…

Yep you don't sound crazy at all Trev.. been saying this for the last 3 months we need 2 midfielders in this window with legs or we're wide open in the middle and at the back!

With hope and a prayer at DM.. we're not getting top 8, never mind top 4.

The upcoming league games on paper look daunting if I'm being honest due to the injuries, and players playing whilst not being fit.

Hopefully we can get players back like Bob, and maybe get a quality midfielder in then maybe things might just take a turn for the better.

The bookies are mental at the minute.

The way we are playing, anyone can beat us this season, but yet the opposition are still getting decent odds.

Worth sticking 10 or 20 quid on the opposition every game from now until the end of the season.

I would wager you'd be quids in at the end of May.

We've only lost two games in the league at home so I'm hopeful we can get through the tough period and stay in contention with three of the games at home. Away from home we've only won once (Leicester) since we beat Wolves on 20th October which is an absolute disaster. The final 9 games are all winnable, with Villa at home and the rags at the swamp the hardest (on paper) so if we're within 6-8pts come April we could make it. The pressure is going to ramp up if it's tight and we remain the most likely to handle that.

Forest could drop off a cliff. Chelsea look like they are struggling too. Villa will have the CL. Newcastle are in excellent form but could go through a bad run. Hopefully we're coming out of the worst of ours and can start climbing.

So I voted no!

I’d have taken a point before the game last night, and it was a fair result: 18 shots to 21 in our favour, end-to-end with both teams going for it, 2-2 was about right, 4-4 might have been a fairer reflection… but it’s just disappointing the way we were 0-2 up.

Chelsea and Forest drew though so still in with a good shout.

Only thing is, we aren’t looking like signing a midfielder at all and we have a very tough run of fixtures coming up.

No, thank you. All that travelling to the arse end of Europe, playing on thursdays then on the following sunday. And there's precious little financial incentive to take part in it.

Peanuts compared to the Champions League.
The worst thing about the Europas for me is the amount of Sunday games we’d have.

While they’re better than Monday night or midweek games, I’d still genuinely rather finish outside the Europa spots than have a season lacking in Saturday games.

Football is the thing that we all live for, Saturday’s the day we play the game’.

I'm generally a glass half full type (I really am).
Based on the last 2/3 months, and where we are with signings, I don't see a top 4.
So we're praying other clubs go deep in Europe opening up 5th for us.

I wonder how many points we will get, bearing in mind how porous our defence is. My guess is,

Ipswich A 3
Chelsea H 1
Arsenal A 1
Newcastle H 1
Liverpool H 0
Spurs A 1
Forest A 0
Brighton H 3
Leicester H 3
United A 1
Palace H 3
Everton A 1
Villa H 1
Wolves H 3
Saints A 3
Bournemouth H 3
Fulham A 1

64 points may not get us top four sadly

When you look at the fixtures this way if you are honest we are 100% struggling to get enough points. I think our only chance of CL is others dropping a lot of points too, as well as England getting that 5th CL spot

At least there’s still lot to play

bad results tonight.

I am livid that table looked like this after 9 rounds and rivals were probably thinking we are doing the 5peat. they must be as shocked at our drop as we are.
come 21st round, and we are neck deep in a top4 fight, with title chances pretty much gone. and we need serious additions to even make that top4 probably.
