I’ve been doing double chance the last few games I’ve not done too bad out of it.
 
What I find funny is that despite a shocking run by us we are 11 points ahead of Spurs. How shit must they be?
 
At the current rate, we're probably going to finish 4th or 5th - but possibly 6th - depending on how well Forest, Chelsea & Newcastle keep it up till the end of the season ? So Champions League is really on a knife edge.

Would feel a lot more confident if we got a couple of decent people in during January to boost the defence and/or midfield.

come 21st round, and we are neck deep in a top4 fight, with title chances pretty much gone. and we need serious additions to even make that top4 probably.

It's actually hard to comprehend.

Those mad 2 months, we've not seen anything like that for 15 years.

Even if we did half as good as we actually did, which was fuck all,then we would be top of the league and about to click into gear.

Something went on for that drop off but we'll probably never know.
 
It's a shame that "the drive for 5 in 25" looks like it's not going to happen.

But, with players still to come back from injury, others getting fitter and beginning to come into form and also with the new players we hope to add this month, i think we'll finish 2nd this season.
We're getting better every week and when we get it all together i think we'll be a force come the spring!

The most important thing right now though is making sure we qualify for the next round of the CL.
 
At this stage, I’d honestly take a year in Europa league just to get a bit of a break, bed in the new players and get the winning mentality back.

The money’s not the end of the world. Being out of the champions league didn’t kill Liverpool, Chelsea or Newcastle. Confidence and a winning run is a big reason Newcastle and Nottingham Forest are doing as well as they are at the minute.

Got to think long term. We’ve done the unbelievable, time to refresh the squad and get winning again.
 
We r in a race for 2 places with villa Newcastle and Chelsea maybe 3 places if England get a 5th spot. Forest will defo fall away villa look thi squad wise as do Newcastle so are a couple of injuries away from disaster chelsea aren't as good as people are making out dangerous going forward but nothing defensively. 3 home games against Chelsea Newcastle villa might prove vital but think we will finish 3rd.

I don’t think Forest will fall away they have a very strong defence the opposite to our present one. They will be challenging for top 4, I am sure from what I have seen. They remind me of the Leicester team that won the PL, may not be players that you would have at City but they work for each other incredibly hard. Their results are not flukes, they are just very good.

We have to be a lot better than we have been as a lot of teams around us are also seeing the chance to nip in and get a place in the top 4.

I agree about Chelsea, Jackson is a far better player than last season, but defensively they can be got at.

And how would you describe us at present?
I doubt there's many shivers running down the spines of the clubs above us the way we're struggling to put any decent run together.

Seen enough of forest at our place to know they r in a false position.

Us? Tired players not playing at 100% fitness with a few additions and players coming back to form and fitness we r more than capable of putting a run good enough to easily finish top 4 that's my opinion I actually think the league is really poor this season probably a hangover from the euros and all the extra games players have to play nowadays.

I hope your right but I'm not sure this version of City can put one of those 15 game winning runs together. The exploits of the English teams in the champions league would suggest it's as strong as it's ever been.

Or maybe every league is suffering the same Madrid look way off it as do psg inter not running away in Italy as they usually do. I agree it's still the best league but not as strong as previous years imo.on the 15 winning streak I really don't think that would be needed 7 or 8 will probably do it.

Agreed (partly). We're the only team to have qualified for the Champions League in every season since 10/11. Other teams have won the title since then with far fewer resources than we have. I'd love to keep the record going and finish in the top four this year, obviously, but the Europa League is a major trophy we've not won and I'd love for us to really go for it if we end up there next season.

Yep or finish outside Europe might just concentrate the board minds that in the future if we at the top don't count the dosh win the net trophy! Invest in the squad!

Baffles me still that anyone at the club didn't see that these players have run and run won the lot for the last 6 years that this would not happen! Peps taking the blame but it's on Soriano for me he is Scrooge McDuck
