We just need them to have a wobble , say three or four games without a win

Exactly. We get up a head of steam and in the rear view mirror and the teams above us will drop plenty of points. Win the next game will be the message from Pep, then who knows. Need a DM though!!!!
 
Think now it all hinges on getting a DM in. If we continue with the current midfield options then i can see us dropping more points and not getting top 4. Get 1-2 midfielders in and i think we can do it

We're just not good enough.. and it all starts at the top at Txiki. 22 days into January transfer window and no midfielder incoming when we clearly need at least 2 just to get top 4.

What exactly does bringing Gundogan on accomplish??
We lost leads vs Brentford and now PSG.
Lost leads vs Sporting, Feyenoord, United were no fluke..

I just don’t see how we are in top 4 after this :-(

I just want pep to fill midfield with legs & stop this system asap all we can hope for is a few draws as I don’t see any wins for a while
 
Don’t forget, some of the teams with midfielders we want are still in the CL with a shout and the window doesn’t close until AFTER the last CL Group Stage game.

There could be irons in the fire, possibly even “agreed” already, but no-one’s talking because there are still important games to play before the window closes.

Just a thought…

Your probably gonna get hammered off the optimists on here but you are bang on. We've had a mini resurgence as we have played shite teams in the last 5 or 6 fixtures. As soon as a decent team pops up we get our arsed handed. We will be lucky to get 5 points out of our premier league fixtures from Chelsea Saturday to Brighton on the 15th March.. That isn't an overeaction at all!!

The only thing that will change is if the young signings are tossed in and hit the ground running.

I just cant get my head around why with the current situation with no RB/LB/DM/SS (Granted Marmoush is likely coming), we have spunked 70 million Euro's on 3 inexperienced centre backs who Pep likely wont play this season anyway.

We have issues there, but Centre back is way down the list in importance...

1, DM
2, RB
3, Second Striker
4, LB (Because Gvardiol can then switch to his native position at CB)
5, CB


We have lost the plot (Pep/Txixi) for whatever reason. Hopefully tonight has made them realise, but I've been saying that for months. Really thought we'd have addressed what we needed by early Jan. But instead we have focussed on inexperienced Centre Backs. I'm lost for words at the stupidity. God help us with the fixtures coming up, we need divine intervention.
