Our one saving grace may be Chelseas last 4 fixtures.
Liverpool (h) - although the dips won't give a fuck by then.
Newcastle (a)
Rags (h) - hopefully they park the bus like the derbies
Forest (a) - possibility this one's key
Firstly though we have to find ways to win ourselves!!
Don't think Chelsea will be anywhere near, think it's 2 from Newcastle ,Villa, us. Newcastle Villa play each other.65 points should be plenty for top 5.

I dont think we will make top 5.

The derby yesterday was dreadful, some dont look mithered.

Think Villa and Newcastle look better than us atm, only hope is Forrest implode.

Hope I am wrong.
I’m pretty resigned to finishing 7th and europa next season. Won’t be the worst thing in my view. We can blood the young uns - Mukasa, Echevieri etc and begin to rebuild properly without the unrealistic expectations that most of our fans will have. We need to do this slowly and properly and not the united way of signing any name possible, and do some proper scouting like we did with Merlin, Zaba, Alvarez etc

Villa and Newcastle are in much better form than we are. They're much more direct, creative, and on the front foot. We'll be facing the same 10-man wall, recycling the ball and vulnerable to the counterattack. Wolves, Palace, and Villa will be tough games. We need to play with more pace and create chances if we're going to have any chance of 4th or 5th. And I haven't discounted Chelsea either. They're in the mix too.

I have no way to really support this but our record on the road has been really bad this season.. so maybe Pep feels go for the wins at home with the home support, while trying to get pragmatic draws on the road.

But that means Everton and Fulham away are write offs.

Villa at home is no walk in the park either.

I agree we were shit.. totally shit, but I'm glad we at least got a point out of it vs when we gift wrapped 3 points to them at the Etihad earlier this season.

I just hope those 3 points don't come back to haunt us!

Yeah I am not convinced we get CL. Will be bloody delighted but Newcastle on form. Not sure about Chelsea or Villa..

The hunger just isn't there. We don't deserve CL next season, and we probably don't deserve EL either.

No CL will make elite signings difficult, if not almost impossible.

We delayed the clear out / big refresh far too long. That should have happened after we won the CL. We didn’t, and we're not in a strong position for next season, almost entirely due to our successful pursuit of 'four in a row'.

Fail to prepare, prepare to fail.

115 truly fucked us.. our main targets said no and signed elsewhere and we had to settle for Kovacic, old man Gundo and couldn't even sign a Rodri backup.

Feeling pretty pessimistic right now. Quite frankly Newcastle and Villa are better teams and they have momentum with them.

How I reckon it’ll pan out - assuming Forest make it and Fulham / Bournemouth don’t make up the gap.

Jacob Murphy scoring two vs Leicester, he is quite a mediocre winger and not even a first eleven player usually.

when will Doku or Savinho score two and decide a match for us?

we need end product from wingers even more so as goals dried up from centrally like KDb, Foden,Gundo etc.

my estimate is still 65 points as the lower limit for 5th place minimum, for us to get 13 points from possible 21 will require few players stepping up big time. if Marmoush doesnt deliver each game other will need to.
4-1-2 or 3-4-0 would get us 65 points albeit it can be so tight that there is GD as a decider with 2 clubs on 65 points on 5th and 6th lol.

how the fuck we dropped into this from 4 titles in a row. I was fucking sending texts to friends about the 5peat just 6/7 months ago lol.

All looks like hinging on Villa game. If we draw it and get a point at Everton on your calculations then we pip Villa on GD! If we win it then we should get over the line. But palace at home not a gimme for three points at all. Nor is Bournemouth. But I’ve been here before where everyone else looks unbeatable and we look fragile. I usually under call our results and over do others. Villa and Newcastle to both go undefeated from here?? Maybe. But hopefully not. Gonna be tight. Might need to win at a resurgent Fulham last game. For which I have my ticket!!

Yep, I agree it'll be close between Us and Villa for 5th, but I think they have enough quality to pip us. We have to play without Erl, and right now, he's the only one who can guarantee us regular goals. Yesterday's approach to the game may come back and bite us.
