Some massive overreactions on here. My sports book still has us as short as 1/16 to finish in the top five.

If we can't get a win and a draw versus two teams with nothing to play for except their pride, one of which at the Etihad, we don't deserve CL.

What are we hoping for tomorrow? I had assumed a Newcastle win would suit us best, now thinking a Chelsea win might be better given the remaining fixtures.

A draw keeps them both below us . Newcastle are away to Arsenal after that so if they lost that then we'd only have to beat Bournemouth to finish above them .And Chelsea play Forest in the final game so if we beat Bournemouth it's highly unlikely both Chelsea and Forest can finish above as Forest are to far behind on goal difference.

The irony is that by beating Palace in the cup final, we would be giving Bournemouth (and maybe Fulham) something to play for - if we win, European qualification likely goes down to 8th place. That would definitely still be achievable for Bournemouth when they play us.

I still think we’ll be ok, but it just shows how terrible that result was today.
