The Torino - Man City link....

How about 1:55?

I know some of those guys because I share the same part of the end with them (I can recognize myself in the video...). In those years they were part of a secondary firm, I'd say more goliardic than real ultras, that nowadays is not more active (although most of them keep on coming in our end) and, if I remember well, a couple of them had a friendship with a couple of those guys who followed FCUM, but I'd define that as a personal friendship and not an official link. If you ask people they will say that united is felt more like a wordlwide brand and City as a local team with many things in common with us, especially sharing the town for decades with a winning team and never winning anything. Now things have changed for you and it's like the award for being faithful to your colours in bad times. The same thing we hope someday will happen to us. Until that we'll keep on supporting and hating our neighbours, aka the cheaters who in 2005 were relegated in serie b because of their dishonesty.

I only wanted to point out the good looking women!

As a City fan I feel a sort of camaraderie with Atletico Madrid and Toro. We've all shared the same city with arrogant clubs for many years that bang on about history thinking that only means trophies won (what we call Rags, after our neighbour's nickname - e.g. Spanish rags, Italian rags). It's been good to see Atleti come up and start winning again around the same time as us, hopefully Toro can join us in that feeling soon!

I think it's, at least in part, because we are considered the second club in our respective cities.

Juventus get nearly as much OTT publicity as scum.
Years ago - about 1988 it'd be - the fanzine Blueprint did a series on clubs that had an affinity with City and, if I remember right, the series started with Torino. It was certainly featured. It was basically because of their status as Turin's club with a supposed bigger and more popular club as neighbours that established the link from what I remember.

Was about to post the same, The guy involved is a journalist/writer an he was on talksport when Joe first went, sorry but can't remember his name. I do remember the Torino city flag in The Howard pub in Sheffield many years ago and the owners being very generous buying blues lots of drinks.

"From out of the shadows" or something like that.

Yes, I remember reading the series in Blueprint at the time.

And that's why I follow Torino, St Pauli, 1860, etc.

Lots of people from lots of different clubs take an interest in St Pauli. They're like the hipsters of football.
