The Torino - Man City link....

A mate of mine from Wythenshawe who goes to City and is going out with an Italian girl, think he's over at least 4-5 times for Toro games.

Lots of people from lots of different clubs take an interest in St Pauli. They're like the hipsters of football.
Some them bastards attacked Man City fans including women and kids with bottles at about 10 am in the morning before the game against Hamburg

Years ago - about 1988 it'd be - the fanzine Blueprint did a series on clubs that had an affinity with City and, if I remember right, the series started with Torino. It was certainly featured. It was basically because of their status as Turin's club with a supposed bigger and more popular club as neighbours that established the link from what I remember.
I attended our pre-season tour in Italy in 1992 if my memory serves me right and we stayed in Lake Garda near where City based themselves, we played Torino & Verona on that tour along with another team i've forgotten. One thing I do remember is the tight relationship we had with the Torino fans over there, I'm not sure how it started but it was very evident on that tour there was a connection with the club and the flying of the flag supported that.

Anyone know if cheap to get over there and stay plus game? Me and friend looking go over and watch Joe Hart after Xmas

They're not hipsters they're left wing politically and punk rock mentality. I'm into neither so have no interest in them.

Feel free to ask any information you might need.
About game tickets they are on sale online on the website http://www.torinofc.it/ The selling usually starts the week before the game and it's not a problem to get them except the main end (Curva Maratona) that is sold out by season ticket. The other end usually costs 20 euros, the straight seats 30 euros and straight tribune seats goes from 35 to 70 euros. You maybe can get Curva Maratona access if you ask the 1894 firm which gave the hart flag to put you in conctact with the maratona firm which received it. If you go in the ends just consider that people don't respect the assigned places (if you claim your seat people will look at you as if you are a martian lol) and you are going to stand during the match.

At min. 0.55 your hart's flag exposed in our end Curva Maratona and the chant dedicated to him yesterday against fiorentina.

And at the end of the game a kid invaded the pitch to celebrate the winning and hart took him in arms so the the stewards calmed down and the kid could run back to the end safe. That was great. Here is the video
