Both Walker and Bale played in a friendly against LA Galaxy days before the Olympics. Yet both are too injured for Team GB.

I thought this is against the rules?

Ridiculous. Just shows how these clubs value their own success over anything else. Playing at the Olympics would be amazing for anyone, whether you agree with professionals being there or not, but Levy and co show that having a full remit of players for their next assault on 5th place is more important.

It's not ridiculous when you think about it. During the team GB preperations Bale and Walker have been injured, only last week did they start training and that would mean they weren't in top condition for the time of the tournament. They both played yesterday for the first time and Walker is now a doubt for the next friendly as he may have picked up a knock. It would be no good picking unfit players, I'm sure if both were fit they'd have taken the opportunity to play and Spurs would have let them. Stop getting flustered about nothing news, I imagine you get annoyed when ill researched half baked articles say something negative about City and everyone laps it up.

Would be hilarious if the FA complained to FIFA though

The Olympics football competition isn't on the official FIFA International calendar and, as such, there is no requirement for clubs to release their players for it. FIFA have no power to do anything if the FA made a complaint.

Imagine if they had done, especially after the Redknapp affair? Anyway, they've come out and said they're not going to so that's the end of that.
Is Badebayor definitely not going to Spurs then?

Why would the FA Complain to FIFA, FA have nothing to do with Bale, It's the Welsh FA and considering they didn't want Bale to play for Team GB in the first place, Nothing will happen and rightly so.

Over at deluded ragcafe, They seem to think Kagawa is a better player than Bale.

The default opinion on ragcafe is that if they wear that horrible red rag, they are automatically better players than anyone else.
There are still posters on there who defend Bebe

I imagine this isn't going over well at glory-glory: <a class="postlink" href="http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1127559/niko-kranjcar-slams-spurs'-daniel-levy-'lies'-over-luka-modric?cc=5901" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story ... ic?cc=5901</a>

Haven't looked though. My mood's too good to bring it down with bitter vitriol.

Berbs was only at spurs two seasons so krancjar is talking out of his arsenal really.

He couldn't break into our team and now he's throwing the toys out the pram.

Walking away from a club is not professional at all. Tevez did the same and no player defended his daft actions.

Modric signed a contact not long ago until 2016. His agent put the offer forward, now his agent is making him not turn up for training and matches to hurry a move, the agent advising him is not going about this the right way.

Levy isn't being unfair at all. He said he can go at the right price, AVB said he can go too. Modric is our best player under a long contract, we don't need to sell at all, so if a club wants him, asking around 32m is about right in today's money. United and Chelsea have screwed Spurs over already so I don't know why we should bend over again.
