@ Coop, you are a cnut and i hope you get cancer and die a slow painfull death you are part of the problem of this country and especailly sport. I do not like cheats and thiefs. You to me are no better then a pedo, at least withthem it is medical there urges and stuff. I despise people like you with all my heart and spend a large amount of time bringing up my son so that he will never behave in the manner you have today.

I really hope bad things happen to you and you die soon, because this country will be a far better place without scum like you in it. The are times on the random side of this site when we all talk politics, not once have i ever over their wished anyone any ill feeling for anything they have said. The are difference of opinons in this life, but how you have spoken in this thread has marked you as nasty piece of scum, i mean it when i say it, you are a cnut.

I wonder what he makes of it all.

I think Coop smashed his grandma's back doors in.

I'll look forward to reading all the backtracking from spurs fans if they get a huge investment. I've had a quick look and it's already started, apparently it's ok for them to spend money because we did it first. What about it not being fair on all the other Prem clubs ? They don't seem arsed about that now. Bunch of fucking hypocrites.
You have to laugh really. If Tottenham were taken over City-style, Spuds fans would never ever say "you bought the league" or "where were you when you were shit" again. Suddenly, spending out of their means would become acceptable and they would start complaining at financial fair play. As you say, bunch of fucking hypocrites. This is why I never listen to opposition football fans these days, particularly on City, because they full of shit.

In some cases, it would indeed be hypocritical.

But in others, it could simply be a matter of resignation to the inevitable. But for Chelsea and City, Spurs would have qualified for the CL in five of the past seven seasons. Now, though, no matter how well run they are, it seems that they will never be able to compete on a level financial playing field. Their best efforts have proved to be in vain. So it becomes a simple case of: if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.

Anyway, I take these rumours with a large pinch of salt. It's more likely, IMO, that the rumoured investment is related to a large stadium sponsorship deal. But even if it does turn out to be true that Spurs have been bought by a wealthy Middle Eastern family, it's too late for the club to spend massively beyond its own means on players and wages. So any investment is likely to be restricted to paying for the new stadium and clearing the existing debt of £56 million (which was taken on to pay for the new training ground and to pay for the purchase and preparation of property for the stadium and associated developments).

Chelsea were winning trophies and qualifying for the champions league before Roman took over,so there is no reason to suggest that it would not of continued had he not done so.

So if it weren't for stronger teams you'd have finished higher in the league? Perhaps if you'd won more games you'd have done better - shouldn't QPR and Norwich share the blame for you not qualifying for the CL? It also puzzles me why these teams refuse to recognise your birthright.

That's been the case for anyone outside the original Sky 4 for a long time now. It was a journey that was kick started by the likes of Spurs.

Chelsea had only won trophies and qualified for the CL because they had lived way beyond their means for the previous 5-6 years. To put it another way, they were doing an Abramovich long before Abramovich actually bought them - only, they were doing it with money they didn't have. They were in debt to the tune of nigh on £150 million and they could not service it, let alone repay it. It is a matter of well documented fact that they were two days away from administration when Abramovich rode to their rescue.

So no. Without Abramovich, it would not have continued. Chelsea would have had to sell most if not all of their best players. They might well, consequently, have been relegated. They might even have suffered a similar fate to Leeds.

Whoaaah.......I wasn't moaning!

I was simply pointing out why some Spurs fans might now have bowed to the inevitable - that their club will only be able to compete if it too receives significant investment.
