Spurs' centre backs are Vertonghen, Kaboul, Gallas and Caulker. Not too bad on the face of it. But Caulker is inexperienced, Gallas is injury prone and, if I remember correctly, Vertonghen wasn't AVB's signing.

Where is it reported that a bid of £10m has been lodged?

If Spurs want AJ, then the deal should be £20m with Adebayor thrown in for free
